ZTE is one of the world's largest smartphone manufacturers - as well as a provider of other telecommunications equipment and network solutions. Founded in Shenzhen, China back in 1985, the company has since developed into a high-tech player on the global smartphone market through its network of operators across 140 countries. Today, the brand is behind some of the bestselling phone models, both locally and globally, and was even named "the fastest growing mobile manufacturer in the US" according to Strategy Analytics in 2013.
One of the latest ZTE smartphones is the ZTE Axon 7 4G Phablet. The new smartphone promises to be a much less expensive alternative to the popular Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7. But how does it compare?
The Axon 7 is an Android Nougat smartphone with a polished metal design (the phone has been designed in the United States in collaboration with Designworks, a subsidiary of the BMW group) and offers a rich Quad HD screen (5.5 inch 2.5D Arc Super AMOLED screen) and powerful front facing speakers paired with the AK4961 and AK4490 flagship audio processors providing the highest quality sound. The practically bezelless design makes the smartphone a visual contender with the more expensive models on the market, while the three out-of-the-way capacitive buttons provide easy and convenient operation in full screen mode.
On the back panel, you have the Lightning Quick Fingerprint Unlock (0.25 seconds) - which can be used as an easy camera trigger and a call answer button. The phone's cameras are another strong point. The Axon 7 comes with a powerful 20MP back camera with a flashlight and an 8MP front shooter. The Axon 7 is powered by the MSM8996 Quad Core processor clocked at 2GHz. You get 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage space further expandable to 128GB with an SD card.
Another feature of note is that phone is compatible with Google Daydream VR.
One of the company's earlier models is the ZTE Nubia My PRAGUE Elite.
The mid-range phone has been praised by reviewers for its thin and elegant design and powerful specs for the price. The smartphone features a 5.2 inch FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) 64bit Octa Core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and the Adreno 405 GPU ensures quality gaming. The phone comes with 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and two powerful cameras: a 13MP f/2.2 aperture back camera and an 8MP front camera.
The smartphone is equipped with Smart Charge and promises to fill up 25% of its 2200mAh battery in just 10 minutes. A cool extra is that the phone comes with a nice selection of Prague-style wallpapers - well fitting for the model's name.
Last but not least, we have another popular flagship under the Nubia sub-brand - the Z11 Max 4G phablet.
The first thing of note about this model is the expansive 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED capacitive screen protected with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 MTK6755M Octa-core processor at 1.8GHz and offers 3GB RAM + 64GB of storage space (expandable to 128GB on a micro SD card). The 13MP front camera is equipped with a dual-tone LED flash and a f/2.0 aperture as well as an 8MP front-facing camera with an 80-degree wide-angle lens. A powerful feature is the 4000mAh battery, which offers longer and more efficient use of the device.
Note that this a special edition of the phone - Cristiano Ronaldo Collector Edition - and would make a great gift to your football following friend or family member.
Of course, this is not a complete list about ZTE bestsellers. You have ZTE AXON Mini (5.2 inch, Android 5.1), Nubia Z9 Mini (5.0 inch, Android 5.0, FHD OGS Screen ), ZTE Axon Elite (5.5 inch, Android 5.0, NFC) and more. Head over to GearBest's ZTE page to find the gear to you liking.
