Mobile World Congress 2017 has ended. Considered the ultimate barometer of the global mobile phone industry, the mammoth MWC event witnessed the launch of new phones and disruptive technologies.

Some of GearBest's biggest business partners, all innovative cellphone brands, participated in the mobile phone feast: LEAGOO, OUKITEL, Blackview, AGM, Ulefone, UMi, and Vernee. For those who couldn't personally attend, check out this wrap up to discover their impressive line-up of exhibition products.

AGM Exhibition Stand

With a vibrant yellow background, the AGM exhibition stand stood out in a proverbial sea. In line with this refreshing and energetic design, AGM's logo was spelled out in actual cobblestones and sand – pretty crazy and wild, and a suitable taster of things to come. As a leader in the expanding outdoor mobile phone segment, this was an unambiguous statement about connecting technology with nature. Nice.

The busy display screens on the wall behind provided handy information about AGM's phone line up for 2017. And right below the screen were the phones themselves: the AGM X1 series, AGM A1Q, AGM Rio and the hot-off-the-press AGM M2. The mountain silhouette on the wall was another deft touch adding another outdoor element to the exhibition stand.

The roll up stand proudly announced that the AGM X2, their new outdoor smartphone flagship, would be ready for us in the middle of 2017. Here's what we can expect:

● IP68+ for the most extreme environments (but maintaining a vogue design)

● Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with up to 8GB + 256GB internal memory

● Dual main cameras with advanced algorithms

● Omnibearing ambient sensor for outdoor use

Oukitel Exhibition Stand

We're going to sound just a tiny bit biased but we totally rocked the orange canvas background featuring the honorable logos of Oukitel and GearBest.

This was flanked by 3 oversized posters on each side. The poster design was simple and broad, and made good use of the limited exhibition space. Each poster showcased a specific phone, for example: Jet Black Edition, The Conqueror, and Touch Safe. These gave a flavor of the handsets themselves, with each model standing front and center.

Numerous cards and information brochures were available on the table, providing more detailed information on the respective units.

The Oukitel guys definitely saved the best for last: a commemorative T-shirt from GearBest! Of course, these were available for free, but the total number was limited. By the time, we visited the booth a second time, they were already gone!

Blackview Exhibition Stand

It wasn't exactly easy to miss the striking blue exhibition stand of Blackview, with its nearly-triangular design concept. The open space provided ample opportunity to meet the friendly representatives and road test the latest phone models from one of GearBest's most popular manufacturers. The bright LED lights and the glowing Blackview logo were as bold and compelling as the phones being displayed.

The large world map on the wall none too subtly alluded to its "smartphone for everyone" slogan. The main phones being showcased by Blackview were the best-selling Blackview E7S, Blackview A8 MAX, Blackview A5, Blackview BV6000, and Blackview BV6000 S – all great choices for tech enthusiasts.

Blackview also announced a new flagship for 2017 – the BV7000 Pro. Intended to be a full-protection outdoor smartphone, it supports the coveted IP68 standard and will be among the most extreme phones available for mainstream consumers.

Special thanks to all the Blackview staff for their sweet candies! We just couldn't resist.

Leagoo Exhibition Stand

When we entered LEAGOO's exhibition stand, the cozy green décor provided something akin to an oasis of calm. Guests could even have free potato chips there, while experiencing the latest in cutting wares.

Getting back on topic, LEAGOO has embraced a boutique route, pursuing design innovation and striving for perfection. Fully committed to creating high quality products and services, they understand that, for a brand to stand out and succeed in today's market, smart design is an integral part of the process.

The most notable flagship products that LEAGOO prepared for the world-class event were the LEAGOO M5 3G Smartphone, LEAGOO M8 3G Phablet, LEAGOO T1 4G Smartphone, and the LEAGOO T1 Plus 4G Phablet.

The powerhouse Leagoo M8 Pro with its dual camera setup made its global debut and unveiling at MWC 2017. A continuation of the M Series, and following on from the incredible success of the M5 and M8 models, the M8 Pro aims to continue the winning legacy, adding a dual camera to the mix. Digging a bit deeper, the sleek Leagoo M8 Pro mid-ranger will feature a generously-sized 5.7" HD IPS display; it will be powered by the 64-bit MTK6737 Quad Core CPU backed by 2GB RAM and 16GB storage – a large 3500mAh battery will provide the juice for everything. The show-stopper will of course be the stunning dual camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 13MP main sensor and a 5MP secondary one – ably supported with Auto-Focus and LED flash. Lastly, the fast 0.19 fingerprint sensor and advanced sound system rounded off the package nicely.

UMi Exhibition Stand

UMi is, by any standard, one of the most popular smartphone brands featured on GearBest.

In recent years, it has emerged as a dynamic player with plans to rapidly ascend to even greater heights.

UMi MWC 2017 Exhibition Stand

The two big takeaway highlights from UMI's exhibition line up were unquestionably the UMI Z and UMI Plus E flagships.

But the big news was the premiere launch of the UMIDIGI Z PRO powerhouse – officially unveiled at MWC 2017! It's the first dual-camera phone from this stellar Chinese phone manufacturer. And while it's not yet available on the market, it can be pre-ordered now at GearBest.

Display: 5.5 inch FHD 2.5D Arc Display
CPU: Helio X27 Deca Core @ 2.6GHz
System: Pure Android 6.0 (Android 7.0 OTA upgrade)
RAM + Internal Storage: 4GB + 32GB
Max Storage Expansion: 256GB
Camera: Back camera 13.0MP + 13.0MP (with AF and flashlight) and front camera 13.0MP

Vernee Exhibition Stand

Despite being one of the youngest brands (established in March 2016), Vernee are maintaining a frenetic pace having already gained a loyal fan base – not least here at GearBest. So we're sure their fans will have appreciated the futuristic and minimalist set design – which coincidentally happened to match the design language of their phones.

Vernee MWC 2017 Exhibition Stand

The big news from Vernee at MCW 2017? They announced the world's very first smartphone to be powered by the bleeding-edge MediaTek Helio X30 (MT6799) processor, the Vernee Apollo 2 – it's firmly expected to be the company's 2017 flagship. Prior to the official news, the Vernee Apollo 2 was heavily rumored to be in the pipeline by the Chinese tech media. The uncompromising phone is expected to be launched during Q1 2017. Keep an eye out for it at GearBest.

Ulefone Exhibition Stand

Ulefone unveiled its 2017 flagship, the Ulefone Gemini Pro. Packing the powerful Helio X27, a total of three (!) 13MP cameras, and rated IP68 waterproof, this was the very epitome of a mean machine that meant serious business. Its siblings, the Ulefone Armor 2 was no less impressive with a Helio P25 CPU and massive 6GB RAM, while the Ulefone Power 2 brought a 6050mAh li-polymer battery and comprehensive hardware upgrade to the party. The F1 with its all-screen design, and the T1 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage rounded off the notable selection. For buyers who are looking for high cost performance, it's the best choice.
