The fans of this type are all made of plastic (the fan consists of the impeller and the air hood). Two or three mounting holes are provided around the fan. The fan and the main board are connected by screws and the fan air hood is fixed. The air outlet is directly aligned with the heat dissipation fins and a sponge or tape is attached to the joint between the fan and the heat dissipation fin so that the airflow blown by the fan can be fully blown onto the fin to improve heat dissipation efficiency.
Disassembly method: If there is tape at the connection between fan and heat sink fin (some precision models or cost-saving models do not have this design), first remove the tape and disconnect the fan and power using a screwdriver or tweezers. Connect and remove all screws holding the fan. Lift the fan from the end of the heat sink fins and slowly pull it upwards. The fan can be easily removed.

The biggest feature of this heat sink type is its compact design: The ultra-short cooling tube is wrapped tightly around the fan to save space, the heat sink bottom (the metal parts of the heat dissipating copper tube and the motherboard chip) and the fan The air hood is directly cured together and the fan is simply hung with an impeller over the heat sink foot and fastened with a few screws.
Disassembly method: Similar to the disassembly method of the first model type except that the fan mounting screw is located at the bottom of the heat pipe and not on the air hood frame. Disassembly Tip: If you follow the formal disassembly process, you must first remove the heat sink including the heat pipe, then remove the three screws at the top of the air hood and remove the fan with air hood and impeller. Partially. However, if you want to create shortcuts, you must remove the motherboard, then remove the three screws at the top of the air cap, and remove the fan from the back of the motherboard. Only during operation are the heat dissipation component and motherboard connected and care must be taken not to damage the motherboard during operation. For safety reasons, we naturally recommend preparing the heat conducting paste and dismantling it according to the conventional dismantling method. After removing the cooling fan, the fans and coolers can be officially started. Before you start, however, you must prepare some necessary tools such as brushes, rubber bubbles, Phillips screwdrivers and cotton swabs. To make it easier to understand the individual disassembly and maintenance steps, the Haier S60 notebook is presented with the most common fan and heat sink design.
Step 1: Remove the fan. Disconnect the heat sink from the motherboard. First remove the aluminum foil attached to the joint between the fan and heat sink fins, then remove the mounting screws around the fan cowl and remove the fan from the heat sink. Step 2: Remove the fan cover. Remove the three small screws on the top cover of the fan cover and remove the cover of the fan cover. At this point you can see the inside of the fan cover and the fan wheel.

Step 4: Clean the heat sink fins. Use a brush to remove the dust on the surface of the heat sink fin air outlet and then follow the direction of the heat sink fin air outlet to clean the inside of the fin and clean it with rubber air from the outside of the air outlet. Blow loose dirt into the fuselage until it is completely removed.
Step 5: Mount and glue the aluminum foil. Assemble the fan in reverse order to disassembly. After assembly, remember to attach aluminium foil to the joint between fan and fin (you can also use fabric tape instead). This aluminium foil can seal the air hood. The cold air blown out can be blown everywhere over the blades instead of exiting at the edges.

This completes the cleaning of the notebook fan. Everyone must be flexible and careful when dismantling. If the model is still under warranty, we do not recommend removing all heat emitting components. If you have already purchased thermal paste or the notebook has been in use for more than two years, you can of course replace the new silicone grease.
