Before testing the following methods, you can try out the general functionality of the headphones. This is the case when pairing and operation with another device works. Then continue with the iPhone.
A failed connection means that you've tried to connect your smartphone and headphones before. Then it may be sufficient to delete the pairing and re-establish it:
1.Open the settings on your iPhone and select the Bluetooth menu.
2.The overview shows all paired devices. Tap the information icon ("i" in a circle) on the right side of the headset in question.
3.From the choices displayed, select Ignore this device. With this command, the smartphone deletes all information from the Bluetooth device, thereby cancelling the pairing.
Now try to re-establish the pairing. Make sure that the devices are close to each other, as Bluetooth does not have a long range. The iPhone's operating system should also be up to date.
1.Make sure that the headphones have enough power (a fully charged battery, full batteries or a charger connected to the mains)
2. Turn on the headset and select Settings > Bluetooth in iPhone.
3.If Bluetooth is not yet active, tap the slider icon on the right and switch it to green to activate the function.
4.Now press the connection button on the headphones for a few seconds so that the iPhone recognizes and saves the device. Test whether the pairing has now worked. Then you should be able to hear music.
If the connection still does not work, you can try resolving the problem by resetting the network settings in the following step. iPhone then deletes your individual Bluetooth and network settings (such as wireless settings, passwords, VPN settings) and restores these areas to their factory defaults.
1.Open the settings and go to General.
2.You will find the Reset item at the end of the list. Touch it.
3.In the next window, select Reset network settings and confirm your selection.
Your own settings must then be set up again. For Bluetooth, proceed as described in path 1. For WLAN, follow these steps:
1.Settings > WLAN > Activate WLAN (switch slide switch right to green).
2.iPhone will now search for existing networks. Tap on the one you want to connect to.
3.If the network is secure, also enter the corresponding password and confirm your entry.
If resetting the network settings was not successful either, resetting all settings can be a remedy. This means that all system settings (such as location or network settings) will return to their original state, but no files or apps will be deleted. Proceed as follows:
1.Settings > General > Reset
2.Select the item Reset all settings and then enter the code of your iPhone.
3.Confirm the entry, restart the device and follow the steps to set it up again.
By default, iPhones have an online connection to the iCloud, where several of your data is stored. This connection can also be the cause of a faulty pairing. Therefore, sometimes their disconnection and re-establishment helps:
1.Select Settings > iCloud.
2.At the bottom of the options list, select Logout to disconnect the smartphone from the iCloud. The stored data remains in the online storage but is deleted on the device.
3.Now restart the phone and try pairing. If it works, restore the connection in Settings > iCloud > Login.
Probably the most radical way to solve the connection problem is to restore the iPhone as a new device.
Important: Make a backup before restoring! Otherwise, you could lose important data and have to set up the entire device manually.
1.Start your PC or Mac and open the "iTunes" program.
2.Connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable.
3.The phone will appear in "iTunes" in the upper left corner of the overview column. Click on Overview.
4.In the Backups window on the right, select a backup option and create a backup.
5.After a successful backup, click in "iTunes" on the right in the overview of your iPhone on the field Restore iPhone and follow the respective steps to restore.
It can happen that the pairing of a Bluetooth headset with an iPhone fails. As a rule, however, it is not hardware damage, but a setting or communication error that is relatively easy to fix. We've shown you several ways to solve the problem by recoupling, resetting network and other settings, disconnecting and reconnecting with iCloud, or restoring the smartphone as a new device.
