Step 1: Reset your Xiaomi Mi Box S to factory settings.
Step 2: Restart Xiaomi Mi Box S.
Step 3: Go to settings and enter the configuration settings.
Step 4: Disable automatic HDMI detection in manually
Notice: Make sure that the settings you set manually are compatible with your TV. Otherwise, the problem persists.
Make sure that both ends of the HDMI cable are properly connected to the TV and the other end to the Xiaomi Mi Box S. Sometimes you may need to exert some pressure on the HDMI cable to securely connect it to the connector.
Also, to prevent HDMI on the Xiaomi Mi Box S from receiving a signal, make sure you have selected the correct HDMI source on your TV, as TVs typically have multiple HDMI channels. Browse all HDMI channels to check if one of the screens is active.
If your TV is compatible with 4K, please note that 99% of 4K TVs have only a 4K compatible HDMI port. This is mainly the HDMI port. For example, if your 4K TV has four H-DMI connectors labeled HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, HDMI4, three of the four HDMI connectors are not normally compatible with 4K. Please refer to your TV manual to determine which port is compatible with 4K. This fixes the problem with the missing HDMI signal on the Xiaomi Mi Box S.
