How to make a lot of steam with your electronic cigarette?

This is a question that often comes up among steamers. And for good reason, we all wanted to create more steam at one time or another. It is a pleasant feeling, but also a good way to divert the new vaporizer from tobacco by offering it a powerful tool.

Indeed, between an e-cigarette that painfully creates a small stream of steam and a box with which you obtain a thick, generous and creamy white steam, there is no such thing.

We are not going to talk here about Power Vaping, also known as Cloud chasing, which is a method reserved for insiders to make very large clouds using ultra low resistances and a lot of power. If you want to know more about it, I advise you to watch this video: Cloud chasing.

The purpose of this article is rather to give you simple advice on how to make more steam with your electronic cigarette without complicating your life.

First of all, you don't shoot an electronic cigarette in the same way as a conventional cigarette. On an electronic cigarette the puffs should be softer and longer between 3 and 4 seconds.

Simply to allow the resistance to heat up properly and the liquid to evaporate. If you pull your electronic cigarette in the same way as a conventional cigarette, this may explain why your steam production is relatively low.

Then, you must make sure to change your resistance regularly. If you notice that your steam volume is decreasing and is lower than at the beginning, it is probably because your resistance needs to be changed.

It all depends on your use, but on average it is recommended to change the resistance every 3 to 5 weeks.Once these two basic tips have been recalled, we can now move on to the elements that promote steam creation.

To create more steam, there are 3 factors to consider: the liquid, the clearomizer and the power of your battery.

As you probably know, electronic cigarette liquid is essentially composed of two ingredients, propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. To which flavours are added and, depending on the case, nicotine.

The ratio between these two ingredients, often abbreviated to PG/VG in English, is essential and will partly determine the volume of steam you will create.

Propylene glycol (PG): the higher its level, the more you will have a strong hit and a rich flavour in the mouth.

Vegetable glycerin (VG): the higher its rate, the thicker your liquid will be and the more vapor it will create.

You will therefore have understood that the more vegetable glycerin you have, the more steam you will have.

The 80/20, which is probably the most widespread ratio, will allow you to have a very good feeling of the aromas in the mouth and a very correct steam creation, but, it will not allow you to make a maximum of steam.

To do this, you will have to increase this ratio to 70/30, 60/40, 50/50 or more. Be careful, however, to keep a balance between flavour and steam production. The aim is not to have only a large volume of steam at the expense of taste.

Example of a liquid to make more vapor:

e liquid Halo Subzero (PG/VG 45/55)
e-liquid vampire vape vampire (60/40)

Swoke liquid (50/50)
Arrogance liquids (70/30)
But the PG/VG ratio is not everything, indeed an 80/20 liquid can very well offer you a satisfactory volume of steam if you use it with a suitable equipment.

Choosing the right clearomizer is important if you want to produce a lot of steam with your electronic cigarette.

An entry-level clearomizer such as the Ce4 will, for example, create a limited volume of steam compared to more advanced models. Several elements of the clearomizer will influence the type of steam you get.

The resistance:

if you have low ohm resistors and a high voltage you will get more steam.  With an equivalent battery, you will get more steam with a 1.2 ohms resistance than with a 1.8 ohms resistance. However, be careful not to overuse it and use a voltage that is too high, as this may damage your clearomiseur.

You can also use very low resistors called sub ohm, lower than 1 ohm, provided you have the right equipment.

The airflow or airflow:

most clearomisers today offer air flow management in English, thanks to a small rotating ring.
The air flow will determine the amount of steam produced with your electronic cigarette. The larger the air flow, the wider the opening, the more steam you will have.

The choice of battery is very important. Power is indeed a determining aspect if you want to make a lot of steam with your electronic cigarette.

If you are still using a 650 mAh or 900 mAh battery, try a 1600 mAh or 2000 mAh battery
If you are already going with a 2000 mAh battery and you want to have more steam try to switch to a Mod or a good box.

To fully operate the resistor you are using will require a suitable battery. That is to say, it will need enough power to get an optimal rendering.

If you go to 30 watts with a 0.5 ohm resistance you will produce more steam than if you go to 15 watts on the same resistance. The ideal is to have a necessary and adjustable power to be able to adapt your vape according to your desires.

The BOX: the right plan

This is why Boxes have become more and more popular in the world of steam because they offer precisely comfortable powers to create good steam clouds and especially to be able to adjust all the parameters according to your own tastes.

The boxes can offer powers from 10 watts for the smallest to more than 150 watts for the most powerful.

Advice: it is important to ensure that your resistors are compatible with your battery or box, because the higher the power, the more likely you are to wear them out prematurely and to experience a burnt taste in your mouth. Therefore, follow the recommendations carefully.

E liquid: the more vegetable glycerin (VG) you have in your liquid, the more steam you will produce with your electronic cigarette.

Clearomizer: Choose a clearomizer with a good Air Flow system and low resistances.
Battery: Power is a key factor, make sure you have it under the hood. The boxes in particular, will guarantee you a comfortable power around 50 Watts to make more steam with your electronic cigarette.

By following these tips you should increase your steam production. I hope they will be useful to you.
