192.168.1.1 can not be opened, and the solution in each case is also different. Let's analyze the reasons why 192.168.1.1 router cannot enter the home page one by one, and give the solution.
1, first figure out what IP10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255 192.168.1.1 is (Class A), 172.16.0.0Mel 172.31.255.255 (Category B), 192.168.0.0mur192.168.255.255 (Category C) are all intranet reserved addresses. Therefore, ip192.168.1.1 is not only an intranet reserved address, but also the default address of most brand router settings pages (some ip is 192.168.0.1, and others, but basically router 192.168.address. *) .
Let's take a look at what causes the router management page to fail to open:
2, check to see if an input error caused 192.168.1.1 to fail to open
Many netizens typed the wrong address in the browser address bar, so they couldn't get into the router. You cannot enter the 192.168.1.1 router by entering the following incorrect addresses:
/ / 192.168.1.1
192.168.1.1. . 1
http; / / 192.168.1.1 (colons should be used instead of semicolons;)
192.168.1.1 (spaces cannot appear in ip addresses) 192.168.1.1 (ip addresses cannot have a dot.)
http.//192.168.1.1 (http.// should be written as http://, with a colon: not a period.
The correct access method is to enter: http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1(http can be omitted, that is, directly enter 192.168.1.1 or enter 192.168.0.1). It should be noted that different brands of routers, the default IP access address is not the same, and generally allow users to change the default address. Therefore, please refer to the instruction manual for the specific access address.
In addition, I would like to add that the general default port is 80, so the access address omits the port (the full address is http://192.168.1.180),. If you modify the port value, you need to write it completely, such as http://192.168.1.1:8080.
3. If you confirm that the address is correct, but still can not open?
1) check whether the ping 192.168.1.1 is normal
It means that the web page cannot be displayed by typing 192.168.1.1 in ie. There may be a problem with the network connection. We can use ping to check: click the Windows "start" button, and then select "Program > attachment >". Command prompt, enter "ping192.168.1.1" in the open command prompt window (note that there is a space behind ping, and writing it directly as ping192.168.1.1 will not get the correct result). If the result is similar to the following figure, it means that ping is not available, indicating that you cannot access the router from your computer.
2) usually the following situations will cause ping to fail
The router is not powered on. For example, the power adapter is not connected, the router switch is not turned on, and so on. When powered on, the router lights up.
Problems with the network cable connection between the computer and the router, such as crystal head loss, network cable break, network card loss, etc., will lead to inability to connect and, of course, unable to log in. Change the network cable or access the router in another computer. If you can open it, there is a problem with the network cable or network card.
The firewall forbids access to router IP192.168.1.1. According to different firewall software setting methods, the prohibition can be lifted.
The network is set up incorrectly. For example, the local ip address, subnet mask, gateway and other settings error can not connect to the router. For the specific setting method, please refer to the router manual or check the following setting method.
What if there is no problem with ping, but I can't connect to login 192.168.1.1? At this point to see if the user name and password entered are correct. Regardless of any error in the user name or password, you will encounter the problem that 192.168.1.1 cannot be opened.
4, change the router account or password, what if you forget it?
General routers have a reset function. Take the TP-Link as an example, on the back of the router (the side with many network cable interfaces), there is a small hole marked with the word "Reset". In the case of power on, use a thin wire (or a stiff stick such as a toothpick) to reach in and hold it down, while unplugging the power supply of the router. Then power on again, connect the network cable connected to the external network to the router WLAN port, connect your computer to the router LAN port, and you can reset the router (different routers have different reset methods, please refer to the instructions). After reset, connect to 192.168.1.1, enter the initial user name and password, and the failure that can not be opened by 192.168.1.1 is generally relieved.
1) default 192.168.1.1 account password
The common 192.168.1.1 password defaults and 192.168.1.1 user name defaults are:
User name: admin password: admin
User name: admin password: 123456
User name: admin password: 1234
User name: user password: password
User name: root password: root
II. 192.168.1.1 detailed explanation of router configuration
The default IP of different brands of routers may be different, but the setting method is basically the same. Here we take the use of telecom 2MADSL to access the Internet, TP-LINK router (default IP192.168.1.1 setting method) as an example to introduce the setting method of router Internet access. First, click the "start" button, open the start menu, select "Control Panel > Network and Internet connection > Network connection", and right-click "Local Link"
In the "Network connection" window that opens. Open Local Link Properties, and then double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Open the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window, click to select "use the following IP address" in the panel, and enter the IP address: 192.168.1.2 (the last bit can take any value between 2Moe 253), subnet mask: 255.255.255.0, default gateway: 192.168.1.254. In addition, select "use the following DNS server address" and fill in the first DNS server address and the alternate DNS server address respectively. Note that the DNS server address please fill in the DNS address provided by your network access provider. DNS is also different for different network access methods, such as Telecom, Netcom (Unicom), TieTong, Great Wall Broadband, Education Network and so on.
Note: if you do not know the router IP address and DNS address, it is usually no problem to choose "automatically obtain IP address" and "automatically obtain DNS server address". However, when there are multiple computers sharing wireless routers to surf the Internet, it is recommended to fill in. This enables multiple computers to use "sharing" in Windows to quickly copy information to other computers.
The network cable connected to the external network (for ADSL users, that is, the network cable drawn from the LAN port on Modem) will now be connected to the router WLAN port (note that WLAN, is not LAN), to connect your computer to the router LAN port (usually there are multiple LAN ports, any one can be chosen).
Now enter http://192.168.1.1. in the address bar of the browser (usually the IE browser). Once again, the default IP address of different brands of routers is different. Please enter a normal IP. according to the actual situation. Enter the initial user name in the pop-up dialog box: admin, default password: admin, should now be able to open the router login management page:
Click "setup Wizard" in the left menu, open the "setup Wizard" page, and then click the "next" button .
Select "ADSL Virtual Dial (PPPoE)" and click "next"
Enter the Internet account number and password provided by China Telecom, and click "next"
Click "finish" .
Congratulations! The router setup is complete at this point. At this point, click "running status" on the left bar menu, you should see that the "connection status" is "connected". For example, if not, please click the "connection" button .
Now more and more people buy notebooks, and they are all equipped with wireless routers. 9UPK does a simple tutorial on how to set up wireless routers here to teach you how to use wireless routers, how to set up and help you to access the Internet early:) if you feel that this article is more practical, you are welcome to collect it so that you can read it when you need it in the future.
Connect the laptop to the router with a network cable (one of the four holes in the picture), and then you can set up the wired routing through the browser.
The address of the router is: http://192.168.1.1, just enter it to access it (see: a complete list of router addresses of various brands).
If the access is successful, the browser will prompt you to enter the login username and password, and the vast majority of router usernames are admin, passwords and admin (see: router passwords summary of various brands of routing passwords).
Select [ADSL Virtual Dial] from the Quick setup menu and [next]
After filling in successfully, you can [save].
The wireless router part is basically set up, and finally connect to the wireless network that opens the laptop, then search for the wireless network you just set up, and finally click on the connection to enter the password you have just set up.
Hey hey, everything OK.
Third, wireless network security configuration
To ensure that your wireless network is not used casually by others, you need to set a security password for your wireless network.
First of all, find [Wireless Settings]-[basic Settings], fill in the name of your router in [SSID], and set it casually to identify your own network.
After logging in, you should first set up ADSL virtual dial-up (PPPoE), to enter your ADSL username and password, so that the router can dial up the Internet automatically.
Another: if you are connecting this wireless route to another one with a line, you can skip the step of setting up the ADSL and set up the wireless network directly.
Find Quick setup and set ADSL.
Because the setting interface of different brands of routers is different, so here only take IPCom wireless routers as an example, the setting process of other brands of routers is basically similar, in short, you can find the place to set up ADSL.
