When the HUAWEI TalkBand B5 at charging condition, the smart band will turn on automatically.
Step 1: Press the headphones on both sides of the bracelet at the same time to remove the headphones from the bottom.
Step 2: Plug the charging wire into the headset charging port.
When connect the charger to the bracelet, the system will turn on automatically. You can also press the band host side button to turn on the system.
●Please charge it with a special charging line in the package.
●Please dry the charging port before charging.
Take out: Press the button on both sides of the bracelet at the same time to eject the headset, and then remove the headset from the base.
Put back: After use, put the headphones back to the base with the earmuffs.
Step 1: Open the Huawei Sports Health App
Step 2: Find the TalkBand B5 device details page, click on the Frequent Contacts, click “+” in the lower left corner of the page.
Step 3: After that, the page jumps to the mobile contacts book, you can select 10 frequent contacts to add to the TalkBand B5.
●When adding contacts to app, verify that app has been allowed to access the address book. Take Huawei EMUI8.0 as an example: select Settings > Application and Notification > Application Management > Sports Health > permissions > address Book.
●Some phones may not recognize the contacts stored in the SIM card. Please save the address book to the phone before adding it.
●If a contact has more than one number, select as prompted when you add it.
●The TalkBand B5 contact page displays only the contact name, not the phone number. A name displays a maximum of two lines, extra truncation, and no scrolling display.
When there is an incoming call from the mobile phone, and the TalkBand B5 is connected to the Bluetooth of the mobile phone normally:
●If the headset is in the strap, the TalkBand B5 will vibrate and brighten the screen to remind you.
●if the headset is outside the strap, the TalkBand B5 will light up the screen and play the ring tone to remind you.
When there is a missed call, and the TalkBand B5 is normally connected to Bluetooth, the band generates a reminder page for the missed call:
●When there is only one missed call, the missed call page displays the name of the missed call. If the name of the incoming call is not available, the incoming call number is displayed. The name and number of the incoming call are not available, indicating that there is a number to call in.
●When there are multiple missed calls, the missed calls page displays the number of missed calls.
When the HUAWEI TalkBand B5 is connected to the mobile phone properly, when there is an incoming call from the mobile phone, you can answer the phone through the Bluetooth headset of the smart bracelet:
●Bluetooth headset in the watchband or while charging: remove the Bluetooth headset when you call, answer the phone, and automatically extinguish the screen after 2 seconds.
●Bluetooth headset outside the watch band: click on the side button of the bracelet when you call, you can answer the phone, and the screen will be automatically extinguished after 2s.
Note: During the call, if the headset is plugged into the USB to charge, the call automatically switches to the phone.
When the HUAWEI TalkBand B5 is connected to the mobile phone Bluetooth, you do not have to take out the mobile phone to dial up, just call directly through the TalkBand B5.
Method 1: Dial through “contact”
Click the name of the contact you want to call in the contact list, remove the headset, and dial out.
Method 2: Dial through “recent call”
Click on the name or phone number you want to call in the call history list. If the headset is outside the band, dial out the phone directly. If the headset is in the band, remove the headset and dial out.
Note: The TalkBand B5 automatically saves the last five calls to the phone when it is normally connected to Bluetooth.
Method 3: Dial through “voice assistant”
When using the Voice Assistant, the Bluetooth headset should be placed outside the watch band.
For previous versions of Huawei EMUI8.1, you need to turn on the Bluetooth headset button on the Voice Assistant Settings menu (turn off by default).
●If you press the side button for more than 2s, you can start the mobile phone voice assistant. After receiving the prompt "please speak instruction", you can send voice call instructions and make phone calls.
●The TalkBand B5 can also start the voice assistant by tapping the screen twice in the black screen state.
Note: Voice assistants support Huawei voice assistants and Siri. The support of other third-party voice assistants depends on the compatibility of the mobile phone system.
Method 4: When the headset is outside the watch band, except for the incoming call, alarm clock and call, double-click the side button to automatically dial the last outgoing call.
●During the call, if you single press the button on the side or put the headset back in the watch band, you can hang up the call.
●When you answer an incoming call with your mobile phone, the TalkBand B5 cannot hang up the phone call.
When the bracelet is connected to Bluetooth, if you are on the phone and a third party calls coming, the bracelet will be alerted. You can:
●Press the handring side button 2s long to reject the new call.
●Single-stop ring button, hang up the current call, answer the new call.
●Double-stop side button, maintain the current call, connect the new call; double click the side button again to maintain the current call, switch to the previous call; click the side button again, hang up the current call, switch to the previous call.
●Put the headphones back in the strap and hang up all phones.
●Sliding on the headset screen can increase the Bluetooth call volume.
●Sliding can reduce the volume.
●Slide to the end to mute.
After the volume is adjusted, the last adjusted volume is used by default on the next call.
