JXD 509G RC quadcopter troubleshooting guide

This guide is to help you solve your JXD 509G quadcopter common problems, including failing to pair the drone with its transmitter, propeller or electric motor doesn't work, propellers spin at different speed.

The drone hasn't enough power. Charge your JXD 509G RC drone - plug its charger's cable to a computer USB interface, connect the batteries to the charger to charge them 1 - 2 hours. Then insert the batteries into the JXD drone properly and pair the quadcopter with its remote control again after fully charged.

The transmitter is less of battery power. Change 4 new AA batteries to try again. (If you have read the JXD 509G user manual, you may know the caution about battery for the transmitter - load the batteries in right way, do not mix using the old batteries with the new ones or mix using batteries from different brands.)

If the drone and its transmitter have power, maybe your operation method is not correct. Open your drone first and place it on the flat ground, then switch on the transmitter, keep the throttle at the bottom place, push it to the highest position and then back to the lowest position quickly, you will hear “di-di” sound which means the decoding is successfully made. But keep in mind that do not do other operation while decoding.

If above solutions don't help, follow the instruction on the user manual coming with the product to factory reset the JXD 509G RC drone.

● Check whether the propeller installs too tight on the electric motor. If yes, please adjust the tightness (loosen it) and then check whether it can spin normally.

● Uninstall the propeller and check whether its electric motor works, if yes, the propeller has something wrong. Simply change another blade (You can purchase the extra spare propellers from Gearbest).

● If the motor doesn't work, please take off the drone case to check whether the electronic motor cable connects to the main circuit board well or the shaft gear installs well. If not, just fix it in an RC store. If yes, the motor is damaged, please change a new one.

● Place the quadcopter on a horizontal surface, pull the throttle lever to the right down corner and the direction lever to the left down corner at the same time. This time the indicator of the aircraft will be flashing quickly, and then loosen all the actions on the transmitter and wait till the indicator shows eternal bright and the calibration is successfully finished.

● However, if you tried all above steps, but the propeller still can't spin, its electric motor must be damaged. You can take it to an RC shop to check and repair or change the component.

● The four electric motors' output power is different, you can press side-flying trimmer and the front/rear trimmer button to fine tune their spinning speed.

● The propeller's spinning speed also can be affected by the wind strength and the magnetic field strength. So please avoid flying the quadcopter in the strong wind or the strong magnetic field environment.

● Maybe the gears of some propellers get stuck, simply add some lubricating oil for them.

● If the quadcopter directly flips when flying, the reason should be the electric motors are installed in the wrong location. Use a screwdriver to uninstall the quadcopter case to exchange them for the right location.

● Press down the HEADLESS MODE button on the transmitter, and repeat the first or second step to regulate or fine tune your quadcopter. Alternatively, reboot the quadcopter and the transmitter, then pair them again. When the direction is corrected, the spinning speed of the propellers will be almost the same, then you can use the headless mode again.

● Maybe the connection between the quadcopter and the remote controller is poor. Try to reboot both the two devices, and then pair them again: Move the left joystick to the top and then to the bottom until both of the indicator lights on the controller and the quadcopter stop flashing and become lighted, a beep sound will be heard.

● Try to regulate the quadcopter, so that to adjust the gyro's parameters: Place the quadcopter on a horizontal surface, pull the throttle lever to the right down corner and the direction lever to the left down corner in the same time. This time the indicator of the aircraft will be flashing quickly, and then loosen all the actions on the transmitter and wait till the indicator shows eternal bright and the calibration is successfully finished.

● Maybe the electric cable between the motor and the main circuit board is broken, or they are in bad contact. You can uninstall the quadcopter case to check the connection condition. Actually, it's hard to do, so ask help from an RC toy shop. If so, it's a small problem, just take it to a digital product fixing store to fix.

● If all the ways make no sense, the reason should be the motor is broken. You need to change a new motor. The JXD 509G original motor is available on our Gearbest.
