Xiaomi Yi has a fixed focus lens, which can't be adjusted according to the change of the subject. That means that objects close to the camera will appear more clear, sharp and well-defined than those in a further position (resulting vague and blurry).
Action cameras are designed for sport and require a fast shutter speed for shooting active subjects: a reason why Xiaomi Yi has fast shutter speed with high ISO, but this increases noise in photos and decreases their quality.
Xiaomi Yi camera only produces JEPG format images, thus it won't be easy for photographers to process, edit, recover those pictures after shooting.
Having a "Fixed focus lens" doesn't imply focus cannot be changed. It can be adjusted by rotating its lens: clockwise direction for further place focus, counter clockwise rotation for closer focus. Please notice that the glue on the fixed lens needs to be removed.
To solve high ISO and noise problems, you need to manually set some parameters. Start up the camera and check if its SD Card contains a file named "autoexec.ash". Commands in this file can be applied to set ISO, white balance, exposure time and others.
The "autoexec.ash" file can be used to produce RAW format images. When the RAW file mode is enabled, the camera will create two different files, one is JEPG and the other is RAW.
