Color temperature (colo (u) r temperature) is the scale of light color of light source, which is measured in K (Kelvin). It has important applications in photography, video recording, publishing and other fields. The color temperature of the light source is determined by comparing its color with the theoretical thermal blackbody radiator. The Kelvin temperature when the thermal blackbody radiator matches the color of the light source is the color temperature of that light source, which is directly related to Planck's blackbody radiation law.

Color temperature is the most general index to indicate the spectral quality of light source. It is generally expressed as Tc. The color temperature is defined by the absolute blackbody. Usually the light seen by the human eye is made up of the spectrum of seven kinds of color light. But some of the light is blue, some is red, and the color temperature is a method specially used to measure and calculate the color composition of light. It was founded by the British physicist Lord Kelvin at the end of the 19th century, who developed a whole set of color temperature calculation methods. The specific standard is based on the wavelength emitted by a blackbody radiator.
