Although Dell has not officially confirmed it, a recent official entry on the blog says they intend to upgrade the XPS 15 with the new ninth-generation Intel CPUs and the NVIDIA 16-series GPUs. Therefore, it only makes sense for the company to release the OLED variant at the same time. This is also corroborated by a recent leak of the Dell roadmap from a June launch.
The reason for the delay may not be related to the OLED panels at all. Rather, it is probably because the XPS 15 is experiencing many problems.
Although they have solved the latency problems of the DPC , some still persist. Other problems include something related to the GPU's fans after BIOS 1.7 . Which was released to solve GPU problems from BIOS 1.3.1 . This is just some of the pitfalls that were encountered and that are tuning for a launch in June.
