But today we are looking at a new Alfawise product from a whole different category — the Alfawise H19 sports smartwatch.

Alfawise H19 sports smartwatch: key features

The Alfawise H19 sports smartwatch comes with substantial practical features, such as:

● Built-in smart card

● 1.3inch TFT color screen

● Extensive health monitoring (heart rate, blood pressure, etc.)

● Multi-sports tracking modes

● Music control, remote shutter

● IP67 waterproof protection

● 10-day battery life

● Over-the-air updates

We want to kick off by looking right behind the smartwatch's interesting design (we will get to it in a bit) and exploring the new features it brings to the already full table of smartwatch functionality.

This is probably the most unexpected feature to have on a smartwatch. The Alfawise H19 is equipped with a special NFC chip that basically makes it a smart card that you can set up to be a key to a smart lock.

Like any smartwatch, the H19 aims to offer you a lot and more when it comes to fitness tracking and health monitoring. And we actually do get quite an impressive setup.

The Alfawise H19 smartwatch comes a dedicated heart rate monitor for keeping track of your daily activity and its effects on your heart. You also get a blood pressure and blood oxygen monitors. You will be able to collect the data before and after your workouts and use the information to adjust the intensity. The smartwatch also monitors the quality of your sleep letting you learn about your sleep patterns and making sure you get a good night's rest after your active day. There is a pedometer onboard for counting your steps and tracking your activity throughout the day. Another feature we have found particularly useful in most smartwatch models we have reviewed is the sedentary reminder: the fitness tracker will let you know when you've spent too much time sitting behind the desk and will encourage you to do some light exercise. This will come in especially handy when you are looking to change your daily habits.

Another interesting thing about the H19 smartwatch is that it comes with a large selection of sports modes — actually, more than we've seen on most smart fitness trackers. You will be able to track a whole range of workouts: walking, running, basketball, football, badminton, swimming, cycling and even rope skipping.

Swimming workout monitoring is made possible thanks to the watch's IP67 waterproof protection. This also makes the smart fitness tracker suitable for a variety of other activities like running in the rain and makes it generally simpler in use — you won't have to take it off when you are taking a shower or doing the dishes.

Finally, the H19 smartwatch's capabilities expand when paired with a smartphone. You can use it as a remote shutter for your phone camera, switch between music tracks, get message and call notifications, etc. All of these are really convenient add-ons to have when you are working out as you won't be missing out on any important updates.

On the battery side, the H19 is not doing bad either — the watch is equipped with a 180mAh lithium-ion battery, which is good for 10 days of use and 30 days on standby after only two hours of charging. Charging is done via a standard USB clip — unfortunately, there is no wireless charging support (which is very understandable for a device in this price range).

Alfawise H19 sports smartwatch: large screen, lightweight and Apple-like

The Alfawise H19 smartwatch, like many Chinese smartwatches, adopts a lot of its design from the Apple Watch. It's rectangular in shape, with rounded edges and a large colorful 1.3 inch TFT screen with 240x240 resolution. The screen is quite big for a watch of this size — and you will have no trouble navigating the screen. The watch sits on a comfy yet durable strap that is available in a variety of colors: light pink, turquoise, rose gold, silver, mirror black, light gray, violet and black.

Alfawise H19 sports smartwatch: the verdict

We have put together a lot of words about the Alfawise H19 sports smartwatch — but the fitness tracker's main selling point could also be easily summarized in its two-digit price tag. The H19 is available for just $21.99, which is significantly lower than most similar products on the market — especially when you consider the substantial feature set and a very nice design. Whether the H19 fitness tracker would be the right match for you, naturally, depends on your lifestyle, workout habits and even aesthetic preferences — but it's definitely a nice option to keep on the list of "possibles".
