● The heart of the device is the 440MHz HiSilicon processor
● Interface - wi-fi - 2.4 GHz
● 1.4 inch megapixel 720p 30 fps sensor and 166-degree lens are responsible for shooting
● Motion sensor - range up to 10 meters
● Power supply - micro USB or stand-alone from 2 elements 18650, up to 8 months
● Three operating modes - motion detection, button press and manual connection
Alfawise L10 looks like a classic door intercom. These are often seen on office doors, for example. Round call button framed by translucent backlit ring, with speaker and microphone holes above it, camera lens and motion sensor even higher
The rear panel is removable, designed for wall mounting. The call itself is mounted on it and attached with a complete screw. There are contacts on it for external power supply connection, a little more details - it will be further.
Unlike Xiaomi AI Zero, which is powered by 4 AA cells, there are two 18650 batteries here as batteries, I think it's a great solution, because they are easy to find, they are inexpensive and have a large capacity. The manufacturer declares up to 8 months of autonomous operation.
On the back side of the bell, we see a reset button on the left side, a counterpart of the contacts in the middle from the back panel, a white spring-loaded button - judging by the entire removal sensor and micro USB for external power supply.
On the lower end, there is a fixing hole for the screw unnoticeably. He's fixing the bell to the panel.
To save power, the motion is not detected by the camera, but by a separate motion sensor at the top. Its sensitivity is adjusted or deactivated in the application. To the left of the lens is a light sensor to switch between day and night mode.
Compared to the call from Xiaomi - this gadget is larger, and not so striking due to its color. Black with silver will look more organic than a bright white spot of Xiaomi to me.
According to the instructions, the bell can also be operated from the AC voltage supplied to the rear panel contacts. There is no detailed information, but I found the connection scheme from the Alfawise L9 call, with a very high probability here the scheme is similar
There's a memory card slot between the batteries, I put a 32 GB card in between - I recognized it normally
Once the power is connected, the device goes into pairing mode - and now it's time to start installing the application
Alfawise L10 works with the XSH cam application (there are more versions for Tuya Smart). Install from Play Market or AppStor, give the required permissions and get to the main window, where there are no devices yet
Switch to adding the device, the smartphone should be connected to the 2.4 GHz network beforehand. In the Connection Wizard, enter the network name and password, look for a new device, and then select its name, access password and region.
After adding, the call appears in the list of devices. First time - with the default picture. Clicking on it brings you to live view. Unlike Xiaomi, Alfawise L10 is always available, not only for calls or alarms. Next in the application - a picture of the device from the last live view
In playback mode, the control buttons are available, while the three main buttons, photo, conversation and video, are saved to your smartphone. Underneath them is the photo gallery, switching between the display mode - all at once or squarely, cruise - apparently not for this device, muting and setting. There are a lot of settings, all in English.
The storage menu contains the total and available volume of the SD card, as well as cloud storage. 4 image orientation options - normal, mirroring, rotating or all together. Adjust video according to shooting conditions.
Next, the motion sensor is set up so that it can be deactivated if you do not want to react to motion in front of the camera. When the camera goes to sleep mode, it can also be switched off when the power supply is switched off, so that there are no light bars on the video.
If desired, you can turn off the LED backlighting of the button, change the name and password of the device in the basic settings menu. For access from other smartphones, you can generate a QR code that can be read by the application.
Some more settings are available by clicking on the gear at the top right of the call picture. Here you can set up the call mode, incoming, silent or notification. There is a duplicate point of generation of QR code and viewing the recorded images in the cloud.
When activated in the cloud storage menu, clips of 8 seconds duration are recorded in it. They can be accessed even if the call is offline from the main menu. I couldn't find any information on the number of videos and their storage time.
Photos and videos are available for live viewing and are stored on your smartphone. Albom button - shows the saved frames.
The application also has a full screen horizontal view. The disappearing on-screen buttons are used to control the unit and are activated by pressing them. The motion video recorded by the camera can be viewed by time line. The time in the upper left corner is correct.
Incoming calls from the camera are divided into three types - a call at the press of a button, a call for motion detection - when the motion sensor is active, and when the camera is removed from the panel - an alarm bell.
Alfawise L10 has a number of advantages over Xiaomi AI Zero.
First, the live view mode is always available. Second, higher-capacity 18650 batteries and the ability to connect stationary power. Third, the application responds more quickly and consistently to call activity.
The question remains how to connect the stationary power supply via the rear panel.
The disadvantages are the need to install a separate application for this particular call, it would be better to have Tuya Smart and the lack of integration with the existing smart home system, at least I did not find one.
