That said, everyone is waiting for AMD to just unveil their new Navi RX 5700 graphics card... But is that all it is?
After all, it seems that AMD has another surprise for players, in the form of a certain 16-core, 32-thread processor. Which unfortunately failed to appear on Computex 2019.
AMD is preparing a new 16-core Ryzen 3950X processor with 4.7GHz (Turbo) and a base frequency of 3.5Ghz.
Therefore, this processor will use two dies, each equipped with 8 Zen 2 cores, which in all should reach 105W of TDP. Being very probably, one of the most impressive CPUs of the last 10 years. (Its closest rival is the i9-9960X... Which is basically a CPU that consumes much more power, with much lower frequencies)
Unfortunately, the leaker didn't share any details about the price... But as you'd expect, we'll probably have one of AMD's most expensive processors ever here. With some experts pointing to 999€.
What's not much of a surprise, after all, is the price of 'Premium' components! The only difference is that in the old days we only saw these prices on the Intel side.
