After announcing the performance, specifications and final price of the AMD Radeon RX 5700. If we thought Intel had a major problem, NVIDIA has no less problem right now with the RX 5700 XT and RX 5700.

AMD Surprises With RX 5700 Prices

I won't beat around the bush:

RX 5700 XT - $449.

RX 5700 - $379.

I don't think that would be necessary to add any more, but we are going to add things. The company has surprised with two monstrous graphics at laughable prices. The RX 5700 XT arrives to compete with the RTX 2070 which is over 500€. The RX 5700 arrives to compete with the RTX 2060 that starts at 350€.

AMD graphics are approximately 5% more powerful than current NVIDIA RTX Turing. Notably, NVIDIA will soon introduce RTX Super, new Turing graphics with more RTX and frequency. This would be the company's response to the new Navi.

Navi promises a lot and this is still the first iteration of RDNA and would not be serious until 2020 when we would see its full potential. According to some rumors these RX 5700s still have some GCN, which would prevent them from unlocking their full potential.

We only have one doubt and it is related to RayTracing. Nobody has mentioned this technology, which, in theory, will be present in Microsoft Project Scarlett and Sony PlayStation 5. It could be that this first iteration does not yet support this technology and it is Navi 2 who finally supports it.
