Last year, Apple used the month of July to update the MacBook Pro, and in 2019, the update was released two months earlier in May - a surprise. For the first time an Apple notebook offers a processor with up to 8 cores. Those who need so much computing power will have to choose the new top model with 15-inch display and get the matching 9th-generation Intel Core i9 with 2.3 GHz. This model also has 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD memory - cost: 3,299 euros. The cheapest 15-inch model (2,799 Euro with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD) was also accelerated and now has a 6-core Intel Core i7 processor of the 9th generation with 2.6 GHz. Like the prices, the Radeon chips in the notebooks also remained unchanged.
Basically, the new model also corresponds to the design of the MacBook Pro from 2016 - here's our test at that time in the video:

The 13-inch model also undergoes a minor change. Here, the Quad-Core Intel Core i5 processor of the 8th generation now works with 2.4 GHz instead of the previous 2.3 GHz. Graphics, prices (from 1,999 Euro) and features, on the other hand, remain untouched. However, Apple only updates the models with Touch Bar. The inexpensive entry-level model of the MacBook Pro was again not improved and thus remains at the level of 2017 - actually a small scandal.
However, an important change is not officially documented. As Apple announces "The Loop", the critical butterfly keyboard of the MacBook Pro has been reworked once again. The manufacturer should use new materials to tame the vulnerable keyboard. Whether this really succeeds will soon be seen in practice. By the way, according to "The Verge", customers of the MacBook Pro 2018 and the current MacBook Air will also be able to benefit from this in the future, as the new version will probably be installed when the keyboard is replaced.
The new MacBook Pro 2019 models are now available for purchase at the Apple Retail Store, and will soon be available in stores, and will be available by the end of the week. Bargain hunters are on the lookout for price reductions on existing models, such as Amazon* and Cyberport*.
