breo iSee4 Eye Meridian Massager - WHITE
An eye massager is basically a small headset that uses pressure, vibration and sometimes temperature to release strain on your eyes. Typically, an eye massager looks like a gaming headset and you will wear it pretty much the same way.
An eye massager is generally recommended for those who spend lot of time looking at the blue screen: computer, TV, smartphone, etc. And these days, this makes pretty much every one of us. Too much blue light exposure as well as continuous focus that is required from our eyes on a daily basis can lead to chronic eye strain, which can manifest in a variety of ways. Your eyes can simply feel tired, lead to headaches or there can be visible symptoms as well such as eye bags, wrinkles, puffy eyes, etc. Eye massages are said to help relieve the said strain and lessen its effects.
Today, we are taking a look at the Breo iSee4 Meridian Massager.
The Breo iSee4 looks like your standard eye massager or headset - you will need to strap it on your head and wear as if you would wear a VR gaming console. The massager is pretty compact - it measures just 8.19 x 2.76 x 4.17 inches and weighs a bit over 300 grams.
The 180 degree design makes the headset quite easy to wear and fully covers the eyes to make sure no light gets in. The inside of the massager is covered in soft suede and should feel comfortable on the eyes. Thanks to the specially designed airbag pressure, the massager is close to your eyes and is able to apply the optimal pressure for comfort and effect.
On the side of the eye massager, you will see a mini LCD display. Here, you will be able to see basic information about your massage.
The massage lets you choose between three modes: sleep (perfect for having the massager on during the night or a short nap), strength (an intensive massage session for when you are looking for maximum result) and comfort (a relaxed massage for any time of day).
In addition to different levels of vibration, the massager comes with sound effects - you will be able to choose between several sounds like the sound of running water, cicadas, bird songs, etc. This is a nice feature to have onboard as some of us like falling asleep to relaxing sounds - this, the eye massager kind of also doubles as a night sound machine.
The Breo iSee4 comes with a built-in 800mAh battery that gives it about 2.5 hours of operating time. You charge up the battery in about two hours.
Though 2.5 hours is not particularly much, the eye massager still makes a pretty good gadget to grab on a trip. With most planes, trains and even busses these days sporting charging outlets, it should not be a problem to get the massager juiced up on the go.
The Breo iSee4 massager can be a nice tool to have around if you spend a lot of time in front of the screen. It's also a nice gadget to have around if you travel frequently and often need to get some quality shut eye in less than ideal conditions. It's hard to make any claims regarding the effectiveness of using an eye massager as you would have to do that regularly to see any long term result. With that, the "right after" sensations seems to be very pleasant and you will definitely feel more relaxed after a massage session.
The price of the matter is $79.99 (down from $129.99 thanks to GB Flash Sale). Plus, the item qualities for add-on items. True, this is not exactly cheap - but with the amount of time we spend with our gadgets these days, this may be the price we'll have to pay to counter the effects of blue light.
