So if you're looking for new stickers already offered by WhatsApp, you can find some apps on the App Store or Google Play Store that give you access to additional WhatsApp sticker packs.
If you're a developer, you can use the WhatsApp documentation and sample apps on GitHub to create your own WhatsApp Sticker Pack apps for iOS and Android.
However, if you want to add custom sticker packs to WhatsApp but don't want to create an app for them or have limited programming skills, this article might help you with some workarounds for iOS and Android.
In the documentation, WhatsApp has set a number of requirements that must be met in order to create labels for WhatsApp.
1.Each sticker is an image that has a transparent background.
2.Stickers must be exactly 512 × 512 pixels.
3.Each sticker must be less than 100 KB.
For your sticker type, you can either collect sticker ready images in PNG and WEBP format directly from the Internet or create them manually in a photo editing app. In addition, you need at least three images to create a sticker pack on WhatsApp.
Although you can use either a computer or a smartphone for this purpose, it is preferable to use a desktop app such as Photoshop to ensure better accuracy in edge selection and other advanced editing requirements.
Note: The method we will follow will attempt to automatically accommodate most of WhatsApp's sticker requirements. For best results, it is recommended that you follow these requirements as closely as possible. For example, if you use an image that is not a "square," the label is likely to be distorted when you import it into WhatsApp. Similarly, a non-transparent background on a sticker can affect its aesthetic value.
Once you have images that are suitable for WhatsApp stickers, you will need some apps to import them into WhatsApp as stickers.
Follow the steps below to import and use your custom stickers in WhatsApp:
1.Download and install the latest version of Personal Stickers for WhatsApp , ES File Explorer and WhatsApp from Google Play on your Android smartphone.
2.Use ES File Explorer to place your custom sticker images in your phone's default download directory.
3.Launch personal stickers for WhatsApp. It should automatically detect the sticker images in the download folder and sort them into different sticker packages according to the available subfolders. To create custom sticker packs, click the Kebab menu icon in the upper right corner and select Create Sticker Pack. Select the stickers you want to include in your Sticker Pack, enter a name for them, and tap the check mark in the upper right corner to confirm.
4.Click Add next to each sticker pack to import it into WhatsApp.
Once the import is complete, you should find the newly added sticker packs in WhatsApp. Open a chat in WhatsApp, tap the Emoji icon in the lower left corner and select the Labels tab. The newly imported stickers should be available for sending. Simply tap a specific sticker to send it to the chat. The selected label will be sent to the selected contact or group.
The additional externally added WhatsApp stickers are stored locally on the phone and are not currently backed up to WhatsApp servers. If you log in to WhatsApp on another device, you will lose access to all custom stickers.
Even if you move only the original label files from the download directory and move them to a different location, you still lose access to these custom labels.
Recently, the App Store released a series of apps for creating stickers that work with both WhatsApp and iMessage. These apps typically follow a similar pattern in terms of usability and functionality.
In this demonstration, we use an app called Sticker Maker WASticker Lite. However, other Sticker Maker apps should perform similar steps.
1.Download and install Sticker Maker from the App Store.
2.Tap the Plus button below to create a new sticker pack.
3.Tap the new sticker pack you just created to edit the contents of the pack.
4.Tap the tray icon in the upper left corner.
5.Choose between taking a photo or selecting an existing one from the Photo Library.
6.Then select the area of the photo you want to include.
7.On the following screen, you can refine your selection by adding or removing parts of the picture, and then clicking Save.
8.Now tap the slots marked 0, 1, 2, and so on, add individual photos, and repeat steps 5 through 7 to create stickers for your sticker pack.
9.When all stickers have been added, click Save Sticker Pack >> Add Sticker Pack to WhatsApp.
You will be redirected to WhatsApp, where you will be prompted to save the new label pack. Click Save to add it to your collection in WhatsApp.
Sticker Maker Meme Creator, Personal Sticker Maker, and Sticker Maker for Messenger also have similar functionality.
Note: Although all of the above apps include an editor for creating transparent stickers, creating stickers is recommended for best results and often for greater accuracy. You can create transparent PNG files as candidates for sticker packs and then import them into Camera Roll on your iPhone.
The same sticker packs you created for WhatsApp can usually be used in the News app. Simply open an iMessage chat on your iPhone and browse through the available iMessage apps until you find one of the third-party sticker apps you have installed. If you click on the same one, the stickers or packages you create with that app should also be available here.
Now you can create custom stickers for Android and iPhone. In the comments, let us know which sticker apps you like the most
