How to follow the E3 2019? Our editors have put together everything you need to know in this dossier, in particular the dates of E3, the programme of major conferences and the announcements you expect.
E3 2019 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) takes place from 11 to 13 June 2019. The event is held in Los Angeles in the Convention Center. But as every year, separate events will be organised in advance by certain brands. The first announcements will take place on June 6.
Here is the programme for E3 2019, taking into account the conferences held prior to the opening of the exhibition. The times all correspond to the CEST zone, in other words the time of the zone in which Paris is located.
Google announced it on June 3, 2019: after a brief presentation a few weeks earlier, the firm is organizing an event dedicated to Stadia on June 6 at 6pm. An event called "Stadia Connect" that seems to be based on the event format of other brands such as Nintendo Direct. We hope to have all the details we need around Stadia, in particular the official launch date, the price of the service, a first catalogue of games, or its availability in the world.
During this evening (or day depending on where you are), it will be possible to discover presentations around several games, in particular Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Apex Legends (season 3?), Battlefield V, FIFA 20, Madden NFL 20, and The Sims 4.
Microsoft will certainly take advantage of the boulevard left by Sony's absence at E3 2019 to announce a shower of new products. First it will probably be xCloud - Microsoft's answer to Google Stadia. We should also learn more about the two new Xbox consoles of the Scarlett Project, currently only known by their code names Lockhart and Anaconda.
There should also be mention of the Xbox Game Pass - and Microsoft should not fail to announce games. We know there will be 14 of them this year. Among the expected titles, there will undoubtedly be Halo Infinite and Gears 5.
Above all, we expect announcements around RAGE 2 and Doom Eternal - among other possibilities.
We hope to discover a first glimpse of The Talos Principle 2 or Eitr - during a traditionally crazy conference.
The studio prepares many game announcements. It should be about Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, a game unveiled a few weeks earlier. There will also be new information on some of his games, including Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor, and Tom Clancy's The Division 2.
The remake of Final Fantasy 7 and The Avenger's Project are among the titles expected at the conference.
Animal Crossing, Astral Chain, Super Mario Maker 2, Luigi's Mansion 3, and other titles should be part of this direct focusing on upcoming releases in 2019.
For the first time in the history of the E3, Sony is not hosting a PlayStation conference. The firm explains that it is looking for "new and innovative opportunities to engage the community". The firm should therefore leave it to the studios to announce the new releases of the year on PS4 (and perhaps their plans for the next generation of console?).
We have gathered here the most awaited announcements around E3 2019.
