Huawei Maimang 8 or Huawei mate 30 lite to be announced on June 5

Today, the company has officially confirmed that it will announce the new Maimang 8 on June 5 (2019), three months ahead of schedule. For now, we do not know if the future Maimang 8 will be sold on the world market under the name Huawei Mate 30 Lite. According to the promotional teaser published by Huawei, the Maimang 8 will come with a 6.21 inch screen that seems to have a high screen/body ratio. As for the memory configuration, it will be proposed with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The phone will have a triple rear camera configuration (AI 24 MP + 16 MP + 2 MP), aligned vertically in the upper left corner.

The smartphone will also come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a micro USB port for charging and transferring data. The company has yet to reveal which processor would power the device. Its predecessor, the Maimang 7, was powered by the Kirin 710 processor. Therefore, the Maimang 8 is likely to have the Kirin 700 series processor and can also be operated by the Kirin 710 processor itself. According to reports, the phone will also be equipped with the company's GPU Turbo technology, a graphics acceleration technology to enhance the gaming experience. It could come with Android 9 Pie pre-installed with EMUI 9 overlay on top. Regarding the rest of the specifications and their prices, we will have to wait until June 5, when everything will be officially released.
