The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro have just been announced that the Chinese brand already evokes its second flagship of the year 2019, the Mate 30. In a video published by the Malaysian website Amanz, Bruce Lee, the manufacturer's product manager, explains that the Mate 30 series smartphones are already being tested in the company's labs. He announces an outing for "September or October", thus leaving hope for early availability compared to the Mate 20, launched on 16 October and officially marketed from the 22nd of the same month.
If Huawei's logic is followed, the Mate 30 should resume for the most part the photographic capabilities of the P30. As a reminder, the Huawei P30 Pro is the new King of the photo according to DxOMark with a score of 112. He dethrone his predecessor, the P20 Pro, who had obtained a score of 109. Our Huawei P30 Pro test confirms its incredible photo layouts.
The Huawei Mate 30 will be equipped with a Kirin 985, engraved in 7nm with TSMC's EUV technology, learned in a previous report. To ensure even more impressive performance... and why not consider compatibility with the 5G network. In an interview with digital trends, Richard Yu, CEO of the group, admits that his teams "consider" adding 5G support "to the next Mate series". It does not specify whether it will be a Special Edition 5G as for the Galaxy S10 for example.
He believes that the lack of 5G compatibility for the Huawei P30 will only be detrimental to some extent. According to him, some consumers will actually wait to buy a 5G mobile rather than turn to the P3, but "most will not wait" because 4G is "sufficient" at the moment.
