With its quadruple photo sensor, 10x zoom and Bokeh mode, the Huawei P30 Pro has been the top of the DxOMark leaderboard, dethroning its predecessor, the P20 Pro. On the selfies side, the Chinese flagship must instead settle for the 4th place of the podium, with a score of 89.
"Thanks to some of the latest innovations and the image quality of its recent smartphones, Huawei has really captured the attention of photography enthusiasts. The performance of the front sensors is not as impressive, "explains DxoMark in his test. The P30 Pro selfie camera is not up to its quad rear camera. It's not really a surprise. At the front, the Smartphone is content with a unique 32 MP f/2.0 sensor.
"The P30 Pro offers significant improvements compared to the P20 Pro. The exposure between the still images and the videos is excellent» tempers dxomark. That is not all. The laboratory also rents out "pleasing colour rendering", a "precise white balance" and "a good simulation of the bokeh effect". DxO regrets, however, "limited depth of field" and lack of detail and texture, especially in low light.
According to the DxoMark ranking, the Smartphone offers less successful selfies than the Galaxy note 9 (score of 92), the Google pixel 3 (score of 92) and the Galaxy S10 plus (score of 96). Samsung's latest flagship is distinguished by the integration of a dual 10 and 8 MP front-facing photo sensor. What do you think of the DxOMark test? Are you disappointed by the selfies of the P30 Pro? We await your opinion in the comments.
