Kickstarter, a foreign crowdfunding site, has found a charging head called HyperCube. What is interesting is that it integrates charging and backup, two seemingly unrelated tasks, into the same hardware, in addition to being able to achieve charging in the traditional sense. You can also complete an automatic backup.
From the product introduction of kickstarter, we can see that HyperCube adopts square design, the whole is white color matching, beauty and ugliness aside, at least give people the first impression is more comfortable. In the product-related introduction, officials also mentioned that in order to meet the aesthetic of most people as far as possible, they made many changes before they finally decided on the current set of plans.
At the same time, considering the space occupancy, while ensuring that the functionality meets the design requirements, the team controlled the product size as much as possible, with a BWH of 47.3 x 35.5 x 24mm and a weight of 20g. Relative restraint in size and weight also means that it is convenient for you to put it on the table or carry it out during daily use.
The first is charging.
Different from the common charging heads on the market, the HyperCube itself does not set up a metal sheet that can be inserted directly into the traditional plug board, but is replaced by a USB plug. So when you charge your phone or tablet, you need to buy a plug-in board or related device that supports USB charging (many laptops support it).
On the charging power, the official maximum charging power is 12W. In other words, it can't charge smartphones that support fast charging. However, considering that it needs to integrate a lot of other functions in the relatively limited space inside the space, it is understandable that it does not support fast charging.
Compared to the less prominent charging speed, the real attraction of HyperCube is its backup function.
The product has a total of three interfaces, including two USB interfaces and a Micro SD card slot. The official presentation does not specify the specifications for the two USB interfaces, but it is certain that one of them is USB3.0.
It can also be seen from the availability of these interfaces that in addition to supporting Micro SD cards (maximum 2TB), this product also supports other USB storage devices such as removable hard drives and U drives, including FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS. When operating, you need to connect your phone and storage device to the HyperCube via a data cable.
In addition, including pictures, video, audio and documents, it can be backed up, and the current two mainstream operating system platforms iOS and Android are also applicable. As it is currently in the crowdfunding stage, we do not have any more information, but officials say we will launch a corresponding app for each of these two platforms at a later stage.
HyperCube is still in the crowdfunding phase on kickstarter, and as of press time, it has achieved 85% of its crowdfunding target, less than a month before the crowdfunding deadline. Interested friends can learn about it.
