iCloud can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store

When we talk about cloud storage today, the options are almost unmanageable. OneDrive, Google Drive, iCloud, Samsung Cloud... are the ones that correspond to the big four of the market, with the permission of Amazon, which also provides its solutions. Then, outside this business park, there are other more than notable alternatives among which we can highlight Dropbox or Box. And all of them have one characteristic in common. Are they multiplatform?

All of them? No, as usual, iCloud, from Apple, was an option only available within its ecosystem. Only by using a device with iOS or macOS X did we have access to the Apple cloud. A fact that changes with the arrival of iCloud in the form of an app to Windows 10.

iCloud in Windows 10

The world's most widespread operating system receives an application from the rival territory. It follows the trend that Apple started years ago when it decided to launch iTunes for Windows. And now that the app for music management is renewed (only in the Apple ecosystem), iCloud comes to the Windows 10 store.

iCloud can now be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Through this application we can access all the files we have in the Apple cloud. And not only access, but we can upload all kinds of files, andena photos, files, videos, emails, calendars ...

In order to be able to use iCloud in Windows 10, we are going to need to meet two requirements such as **have Outlook 2016 or later (for mail, contacts, calendars) or a current version of the internet explorer among which Edge is not: Internet Explorer 11 or later, Firefox 57 or later or Google Chrome 73 or later.
