It would first of all be about a real dark mode-a very fashionable feature at the moment. The latter would finally complete/replace "night shift", which currently proposes to automatically switch the colors of the screen to warmer shades (some say yellow). It should be similar to macOS.
Among the improvements, we would find a new gesture to undo a seizure, many users complaining of a lack of harmonization between the iPhone and the iPad. The gesture would start with a three-finger support on the keyboard area, then a left-right swipe to undo and redo the input.
Other features would focus on the iPad with multi-tasking and multiple app management simultaneously on the same screen. This one would have some similarities with the open source project, PanelKit. The Tablet would benefit from an optimized version of Safari (at the failover level from some iPhone apps) and enhanced font management.
Mail would finally receive a thorough overhaul, with new options to rearrange its mails into new generic categories (travel, shopping, urgent...), all benefiting from a search tool. A label "to read later" should also appear. It would also be a matter of tweaking compatibility with third-party apps.
Finally, it would be especially an opportunity to homogenize systems and interfaces.
