After Invista officially announced the launch of the latest Quadro graphics chip for mobile workstation laptops, Dell and Hewlett-Packard have announced their new workstation models. Lenovo P Series ThinkPad P53 and P73 are now listed on Lenovo's Thailand website.

All two new models feature the latest Intel processors in the Coffee Lake Refresh series, up to 8 CPU cores, and optional Xeon processor options, which means they can all choose to use ECC memory. Since both have four RAM slots, they can be equipped with a GB of RAM.

The smaller 15.6-inch ThinkPad P53 and the larger 17.1-inch ThinkPad P73 all feature a Turing-based Nvidia Quadro GPU.

Overall, the ThinkPad P73 is just a small update. The ThinkPad P53 appears to be a complete redesign, although the weight, thickness looks the same as the old 15.6-inch P series. Notable changes include the extra USB C port, which replaces the mini DisplayPort and a USB A port.

ThinkPad P53 will offer four different screen options. Optional OLED 4K-UHD (3,840 x 2,160) screen with a cd\/m² brightness and IPS LCD 4K-UHD with a cd\/m² brightness and HDR support.
