As soon as I got this watch, I couldn't wait to open the package. Its packaging box is similar to that of a jewelry box. On the front of the box is the brand logo, "go, comma." It sounds cool. After a simple assembly, I operated it without the slightest difficulty. The watch is black, and the hollowed-out strap made of rubber determines its excellent breathability, which is one of the reasons why I like it.
I put it on for a while before testing the performance of the watch. It feels terrific. The wristband is a soft, matte, and the entire watch is light.
The watch can slip easily into a pocket, and I feel as if it didn't exist. I don't feel any discomfort while wearing it during working. Indeed, it is much more comfortable than I thought. My work requires me to use a computer often, so it's great that the watch keeps me in comfort.
After a full charge, I began to test the functions of this watch. When Gocomma A6 starts working, there is a faint blue glow on the black screen. A pedometer is its primary function.
Because people pay special attention to the accuracy of the pedometer, I also tested it at first. It turned out that you could get the same results no matter you wear it on the wrist or put in your pocket. Although step counts during running aren't as accurate as during walking, the error is minor. The differences of about 3% are insignificant to me.
I am more concerned about its blood pressure and heart rate measurement function. In the past two years, due to occupational stress, I often stay up late, and my blood pressure had been over the average level. I bought this watch mainly for the sake of health. Once, I went to the hospital with my watch on for blood pressure and heart rate measurement. According to the instrument, my blood pressure was 100/61, and my heart rate was 73, while the smartwatch shew 102/62 and 76. By comparing the results, I conclude that the smartwatch measurement is accurate enough, and the error is less than 3%.
Generally, you can get more accurate results during sleep and less accurate ones when active. As I stay motionless and relaxed, the measurement error is within 2%, which fully meets my needs. I plan to buy another one for my mother. At least, she can use it to know her physical condition better.
Besides, it also provides measurements of blood oxygen. The blood oxygen level indicates whether your metabolism is healthy, my blood oxygen level is generally about 92mm Hg, within the normal range (≥90%).
The sleep monitoring function is not perfect. When I am still for a long time, the smartwatch mistakenly thinks that I am sleeping. I don't use the feature very often, so it's acceptable. What's even more surprising is that it provides a health report every week. The report contains information about my steps, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep time, sedentary time, and so on. It provides some useful suggestions for improvement based on monitoring data.
I didn't test the waterproof rating. I always take off the watch to avoid the damage when exposing myself to the water. Taking the maintenance into account, I don't recommend to put it into water deliberately. Of course, I've found that sweating does not affect the function.
The battery life is satisfying, at least one week. I only need to recharge it about once a week, which is excellent.
What can you get for $20? You're not buying a watch, but a health assistant or a necessity that helps to improve your health. Most of the products with the same features on the market are more than $30, so why miss this one?
Overall, the Gocomma A6 smartwatch is the most cost-effective watch. If you want to have the best budget smartwatch, then don't hesitate!
