Now, in an attempt to clarify a series of misunderstandings, Mishaal Rahman, editor-in-chief of the XDA forum, used his Twitter to address the issue of codenames. In addition, to the surprise of many, he indicated that the devices should be made official with the Snapdragon 710 and 712 processor .
However, it is not yet clear which processor will be used on Mi A3 or Mi A3 Lite. Anyway, the information ends up contradicting previous rumors that the devices would be launched with Snapdragon 675 .
Another detail revealed by Mishaal indicates that the Mi A3 should be made official with digital reader under the display . Thus, to end all confusion of codenames, he also indicated that the "pyxis" model must correspond to a Mi 9 variant .
The "bamboo_sprout" and "cosmos_sprout" should be the new Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite, respectively. This is because, as mentioned in other rumors, the suffix "_sprout" always indicates devices that are based on Google's Android One program .
For now, Xiaomi has not commented on any of the new information. Therefore, we warn that everything still has to be taken as just another rumor. Even so, it is interesting to note that China can adopt the same strategy it used with the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite and launch their successors with different processors.
