MSI GT76 Titan - a laptop with Intel Core i9 processor

The flagship Titan laptop series from MSI has tried from the start to break the performance limitations of typical gaming notebooks by offering performance closer to what we get on desktops, which of course involved the large size of these devices. The Taiwanese manufacturer does not intend to change this approach and its new GT76 Titan features an unlocked desktop version of Intel's top processor. As we can read in the official press release, we will be able to decide in this case even on the ninth generation Core i9 CPU in the desktop version, so we can assume that it is a K series with an unlocked multiplier. MSI says that the most powerful configuration with an 8-core and 16-core processor can be overclocked up to 5GHz, and if the cooling system actually allows it, that's quite an achievement.

This could mean that the GT76 will compete directly with Area-51M, a gaming laptop from Alienware with a Core i9-9900K CPU slot that the user can replace in the future. However, we're not sure yet whether MSI will decide on such a modular design, but if it really is, then gamers looking for a DTR laptop (desktop replacement) may have a hard nut to crack. The decision may be influenced not by the specification itself, but by other details, such as the cooling system and MSI boasts the use of four fans and 11 heat pipes. The manufacturer assures you that the GT76 delivers twice the airflow, but no longer reveals what the comparison is about - the competition or the predecessor.

But that's not all, and there's also a GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card under the hood, which of course supports ray tracing and has Tensor DLSS dedicated cores. This is not the strongest GPU on the market (the title is RTX 2080 Ti), but no one should complain about its gaming performance. In addition, the design of the laptop is inspired by cars, as well as the backlighting of the keyboard and case. The manufacturer has not yet revealed all the details (e.g. display specifications, pricing and availability), but these may be revealed next week at Computex 2019, and the manufacturer has also expanded its offer with a new version of the GE65 Raider notebook, which replaces the seventh generation Intel processor with a ninth generation model (we can choose from a CPU up to Core i9), and we also get the latest GeForce RTX graphics and a faster matrix, where the jump from 120 Hz to 240 Hz. This is complemented by Wi-Fi 6 support and no price or release date has been announced here either.
