The arrival of the AMD Ryzen 3000 processors has been a major problem for MSI. This manufacturer has opted to use 16MB EEPROM BIOSes, while the rest on the X470 and B450 have already switched to 32MB EEPROM BIOSes. This problem is that having the microcode of three generations of Ryzen is not possible in 16MB. This has forced MSI to release a BIOS Lite with a lot of clippings.
To solve this problem MSI has announced the MAX motherboards. The only difference from the current models is a 32MB EEPROM BIOS. Something that is being heavily criticized by users who already have their current motherboards in their systems.
It has been seen that the most recent BIOS for X470 and B450 has clippings in the graphical interface. But it is not only cut in that, they have had to leave out different APU and support for RAID configurations. These new MSI MAX motherboards should not present problems to support all the necessary microcodes.
These new MSI Max motherboards should no longer have problems supporting the three Ryzen families. It should be noted that the fourth iteration of Ryzen should also be able to be installed on the current motherboards. In addition, they are a great solution for users who are not interested in PCIe 4.0.

It is curious to see how MSI updates the A320 motherboard size. AMD already said that the A320 chipset would not support third-generation Ryzens, so this update doesn't make sense. We think it's pretty weird, actually.
