The Nokia 71 is already official: first Global HMD Mobile with hole in the screen for the camera and with triple rear sensor.

With the start of the new Year, all manufacturers are obliged to renew their product catalogue, both internationally and locally, if they are distributed mainly in a specific market. Nokia brought to Barcelona the splendid Nokia 9 for the high end with the Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2, these last three low-and mid-range. Now it's time for presentations in Asia.

Nokia poses a different strategy in Asian area with exclusive denominations that are then adapted internationally. And today has finally presented the rumored Nokia X71, a mobile that adds to the trend of 2019 in holes for the screen and multiplicity of cameras. Of course, they are not the only noteworthy qualities of the smartphone.

The mobile that we are dealing with has just been presented in Taiwan to address that local market. It should also appear in Europe and other international markets, but with another denomination: probably the Nokia 8.1 Plus, a mobile that we knew before. That yes, that model had double rear camera, not the triple that now looks the Nokia X71.

Features of the Nokia X71

The mobile that occupies us points to the middle range because the processor perfectly identifies the price range of the smartphone: the much used Snapdragon 660 Qualcomm. It is certainly a good SoC for more than it has been used to satiety.

The Nokia X71 is a large mobile that uses the use of the front to reduce its final dimensions. The on-screen hole is one of the details that first draws attention, also the metal contour and the double-sided glass. Volume buttons on the right side along with the ignition. This one with a special detail: it lights up with the notifications, something that Nokia introduced in the Nokia 3.2 and 4.2.

The capacity of the device and the size of the RAM are at a great level: the Nokia X71 should offer a great overall performance, especially for the use of a more than decent processor. As we said before, the Snapdragon 660 is a bit old, but still offers a very good face.

The rear sensor of 48 Mpx that so good result is giving in the mid range (Redmi Note 7) is also included in the Nokia X71; Accompanied by two more cameras: an 8 Mpx wide-angle (120 º) and a 5 Mpx to calculate the depth of field. The photographic performance promises to be luminous thanks to the F/1.8 aperture and the grouped size of the 1.6 μm pixels: The 48 Mpx camera combines 4 pixels to achieve one with a greater amount of information. In this way better images are obtained for more than the maximum size of the sensor (probably at 12 Mpx).

The design follows the Nokia line in terms of appearance and materials. Autonomy is not exaggerated because the battery is left in a decent 3500 mAh; To add the quick charge with an 18 W charger included in the package.

We ignore the international distribution and if it will finally take the name of Nokia 8.1 Plus.
