The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro could come around in March 2020 to challenge the next Samsung Galaxy S series flagships - Samsung Galaxy S11. Before this, OnePlus company will also release another two upgraded smartphone models - OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro in October. However, should you buy the upcoming OnePlus 7T series or wait for the OnePlus 8 series? Let’s dig out some rumors about the OnePlus 8 series in advance.

OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro may have circular quad rear cameras setup

Like the leaked image of upcoming Huawei Mate 30 Pro, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro may also adopt circular rear camera unit design and the 4 rear camera lens are housed in the round shape panel.

On the front, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro may still adopt pop-up camera design to offer a real full screen. However, there are also rumors predict that the OnePlus 8 series smartphones will adopt new under-display front camera without a notch, pop-up or punch hole, which may borrow the latest under-display selfie camera technology from OPPO.

OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will offer better display

As we know, the OnePlus 7 Pro offers the world’s first AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which offers you faster and smoother operating experience. As 90Hz refresh rate screen is enough for normal use, so we are not sure if the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will improve its refresh rate from 90Hz to 120Hz. But one thing is confirmed that the OnePlus 8 series smartphones will get further improvement on the display, which may be waterfall screen, or 120Hz refresh rate or something else.

In addition to the circular quad rear camera setup and better display, there are also some other rumors about the OnePlus’s next generation - OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, such as bigger battery, upgraded HDR, etc.

Should you wait for the OnePlus 8 series phones?

Of course, yes. The upcoming OnePlus 7T series will be just a slightly upgraded model of the OnePlus 7 series. However, the OnePlus 8 series is the real annual update of the flagship and it will offer some great improvements than its predecessors. Moreover, the OnePlus 8 series will come with full support of 5G network thanks to the upcoming Snapdragon 865 processor. So if you are a tech geek, we suggest you wait for the OnePlus 8 series. However, if you badly need to change a phone, the OnePlus 7T series will be also a good choice.

As for the release date, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will come in 2020. We are looking forward to more news about it.
