OPPO A7: a new entry-level smartphone with dual cameras and Snapdragon 450 chip

After being fully filtered a few weeks ago, OPPO A7 has been officially launched. The leaks were not wrong, and indeed the OPPO A7 is a low-end device with a huge 6.2-inch screen and notch in the form of a drop of water.

Summarizing its components, we have a Snapdragon 450 processor accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, support for dual SIM and three cameras, two in the back and one in the front. Let's take a closer look.

As mentioned earlier, the OPPO A7 has 4 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 450 processor, which has eight cores. The internal storage, on the other hand, is 64 GB and can be expanded with microSD cards. Its battery is 4,230 mAh (no mention of fast charge) and its operating system is Android 8.1 with the customization layer ColorOS 5.2.

The screen, as the filtrations had already advanced, is 6.2 inches and has HD+ resolution (1,520 x 720 pixels), which leaves a pixel density of 271. Its aspect ratio is 18:9 and the top of the panel has a small notch in the form of a drop of water stored by the internal camera. In total, the screen occupies 88.3% of the front.


Speaking of the camera, the OPPO A7 has a dual 13+2 megapixel sensor on the back and a single 16 megapixel lens camera on the front. This one, in addition to making the selfies, will be in charge of executing the facial unlocking. In terms of connectivity, you can only miss the NFC and Bluetooth 5.0, but everything you need.

OPPO A7 versions and prices

OPPO A7 has been launched in Nepal at a price of 35,790 Nepali Rupees. On the official OPPO website it costs 1,599 yuan, which translates into 203 euros, a competitive price that may be interesting for some users. At the moment it is not known if the terminal will leave China and Nepal, but hopefully so. It will be available in pink, blue and gold.
