The new Xbox Scarlett should have a processor that works four times faster than the Xbox One and a new generation of SSDs promises 8K gaming. Special features are backwards compatibility and real-time ray tracing.
Of course, the PlayStation 5 will be significantly more powerful than the PlayStation 4. The processor relies on the third generation of the AMD Ryzen series with 8 cores and a 7nm Zen 2 microarchitecture. Here, too, 8K resolution is offered and real-time ray tracing is supported. A special AMD audio chip will provide a 3D sound environment.
However, the PS5 should be even stronger and more powerful than Project Scarlett, which was presented today at E3 2019. This is at least what a recent rumor on Twitter by Andrew Reiner, Game Informer's Executive Director, says:
"Rumors before the show say the PS5 is stronger than Project Scarlett, but we'll see."
