This new Redmi TV is, on paper, an extremely interesting device, as it presents us with a huge panel of 70 inches with 4K HDR resolution, this under a simple design with minimal frames where the brand name stands out in the lower middle of the TV.
As it is a brand born from Xiaomi, it is natural that this TV integrates technology that we have seen in the Mi TV, as the sixth generation image quality engine based on the Amlogic processor, which has four 64-bit cores at 1.5 GHz and a Mali-450 MP3 GPU at 750 Mhz. The TV also comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
On the connectivity side we have support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac dual band (2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2. We also find three HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB ports, an Ethernet port, optical output, AV input and antenna socket.
The Redmi TV integrates PatchWall, which is the operating system based on Android TV developed by Xiaomi, and is compatible with its voice assistant that can be invoked from the Bluetooth remote that is equipped with microphone. Redmi also mentions that the TV includes 14 image enhancement technologies and an enhanced audio system with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD certification.
Redmi TV can be booked in China for a price of 3,799 RMB, which is approximately 480 euros at the exchange rate. At the moment there is no information about a launch in other regions of the world, but we will be attentive to any new developments.
