One of the key highlights of the Roborock S6 is its 2000 Pa of suction power, which is makes it one of the most powerful smart vacuums on the market and lets it efficiently pick up dirt, dust and debris. There are three cleaning modes:
● Turbo: for when you want the robot to work at its maximum power;
● Balanced: for a standard cleaning session
● Quiet: for when you want the device to stay quiet. The Roborock S6 actually features a noise reduction air screen and silencer cotton, which makes it 50% quieter than the Roborock S5.
The Roborock S6 can both sweep and mop, though its mopping function is not particularly advanced. With that, the robot is designed to support carpet cleaning — in part, thanks to the DuPont main brush, which is 230% denser than standard vacuum brushes.
There is a 140ml bionic tank with adjustable water volume onboard and a 0.48-litre dustbin. Cleaning the vacuum has been made really easy: the main brush is detachable and the mopping rug is disposable (you get ten in the package).
The 360 S6 vacuum cleaner comes with a bit less power — 1800 Pa. The robot runs on the imported NIDEC Nissan wind turbines. Just like with the Roborock S6, you can choose to use the robot in one of the three gears: 1800 Pa (maximum), 1500 Pa (standard) and 800 Pa (silent). The robot supports two cleaning modes: sweeping and removing dust. The 360 S6 can both sweep and mop and is rather quiet as well producing less than 65dB of noise.
One of the most interesting features of the Roborock S6 is the smart mapping option. If you turn on the Map Saving mode in the Mi Home app, the S6 will map out the parts of your home it has already visited and will even divide your home into rooms. After this, you will be able to assign the vacuum to clean specific rooms and you will even be able to divide this further into even smaller areas. You can also create no-go zones by setting simple virtual barriers around the areas you don’t want the S6 to visit. Moreover, the S6 will be able to design the most efficient cleaning routes, avoiding obstacles, drops and no-go zones.
The 360 S6 can also create maps of your home. The cleaning area is scanned by the LDS LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and will then use the SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithm to build the map and plan its routes.
One of the main highlights of the Roborock S6 is easy control. The robot can be managed via the Mi Home App that lets you switch between modes, assign cleaning areas and no-go zones, map out rooms and more. Additionally, there is the Amazon Alexa integration that lets you control the device via voice commands.
Just like the Roborock S6, the 360 S6 is controlled via the dedicated app. Through the app, you will be able to control the robot’s working mode, area, positioning and more. You can also set no-go zones to restrict cleaning for certain areas. Unfortunately, there is no voice control onboard as of yet.
To back up its 2000 Pa of suction power, the Roborock S6 sports an impressive 5200mAh battery that promises to be enough for up to 150 minutes of non-stop cleaning in Quiet Mode. Technically, with the Roborock S6, you will be able to clean a standard-sized apartment or home without recharging. When the vacuum runs low on battery, it will stop cleaning and head to the charging dock. Once it’s all charged up, it will pick up its cleaning route where it left off.
The 360 S6 comes with a battery of much smaller — 3200 mAh. With that, this is more than enough for a 90-minute cleaning session. Thanks to smart mapping the vacuum will efficiently navigate its surroundings and won’t clean the same area twice. Just like the Roborock S6, the 360 S6 will detect when it’s running out of battery and go to the charging station to juice up.
Out of the two, Roborock S6 definitely seems like the more powerful smart home helper. With that, it is also a significantly more expensive one coming at $600. The 360 S6, on the other hand, can be yours for a much more modest price of $329.99. While offering slightly difference performance when it comes to cleaning, both robots are more than capable of keeping your home dust-free. There is no denying the convenience of having a voice controlled device like the Roborock S6, but if this is your first time experimenting with smart vacuums, the 360 S6 offers many of the same features for much less.
