In view of its usual release schedule, Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy S11 in February 2020. A first leak points to February 18, 2020.
On the price side, we can expect a price similar to that of the Galaxy S10. The "e" variant would thus be marketed at around 750€ in Europe. The standard model would be sold at a starting price of around 900 euros. The alleged S11+ would thus be offered at just over 1000 euros. For the time being, these are still only estimates. We will update this file as soon as we have more information.
Information about Galaxy S11s is still scarce. Rumours have it that some models in the range are enhanced with an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 or 120 Hz. It is expected that this feature will be reserved for the S11 and S11+, the two most premium versions. Samsung could then align itself with Google, OnePlus, Asus and Xiaomi.
Not surprisingly, the American Galaxy S11s will likely be powered by Qualcomm's SoC Snapdragon 865. Models sold on the European market should be based on the SoC Exynos 9830 developed by Samsung. The manufacturer has not yet lifted the veil on this processor. It is expected that up to 12 GB of RAM will be available on some models. As for autonomy, a focus on the integration of batteries ranging from 3000 to 4500 mAh. However, the firm could create a surprise by aiming even higher with this new generation.
According to Ice Universe, a famous leaker, Samsung will put the whole package on the photograph. The first rumours are based on the integration of a quadruple photo sensor composed of a main module of 108 Mp. This would be the ISOCELL Bright HMX designed in partnership with Xiaomi. This sensor offers a definition equivalent to that of a high-end DSLR camera.
This photo module would be accompanied by three other photo sensors. This would include a ToF sensor dedicated to depth of field detection. The S11 would benefit from more than one x5 optical zoom developed by Corephotonics, an Israeli company acquired by Samsung. Samsung Electro-Mechanics began mass production of a new photo module with a 5x optical zoom in May 2019.
Samsung is reportedly currently working on a much larger fingerprint reader than the Galaxy S10. The sensor integrated in the Galaxy S11 would have a "active area" of 64 millimetres, compared to only 32 millimetres for the S10. The unlocking of your mobile phone would therefore be accessible over a larger area of the screen
According to a recent patent filed in the United States by Samsung, the Galaxy S11 could be equipped with a new infrared spectrograph sensor. This device would be able to decompose the light emitted by an object to deduce its composition. The smartphone could therefore provide accurate nutritional information on foods by simply scanning them with a sensor on the back.
According to the first renderings on the canvas (and visible below), the S11 would be sublimated by a screen found Infinity-O surrounded by thin borders. The punch in the slab is smaller and placed in the center in the same way as the Galaxy Note 10. We would also find the Aurora colours inspired by Note 10. On the back, the camera placed horizontally would return.
