After smartphone manufacturers launched the trend to include dual cameras in their devices, the number of sensors present in these devices seems to grow time after time. For example, the LG V50 ThinQ was launched with three rear cameras, while the A9 2018 with four.

In early 2019, Nokia stole the scene when it introduced the Nokia 9 PureView, which includes five rear sensors. However, a new leak is now suggesting that Sony intends to announce a device with six cameras in the back.

According to informant Max J, well known for his precise leaks from Samsung, this new smartphone would already be in development. In addition, a rendered image gives us an idea of what the new Xperia will look like. Check it out:

Unfortunately, the configurations of this smartphone still remain unknown. However, the informant also assured that the device will have two front cameras, which would make this smartphone the first in the world with eight cameras.
