The engineering test model is equipped with 6GB memory and runs the latest Android 9 system. The basic frequency of 8150 is 1.78 GHz, which should be the frequency of small core.
From the records of November 13, we can see that the CPU score of Snapdragon 8150 has been fairly stable, with more than 10000 scores for multiple cores.
In the first records on October 30, the flagship platform did not actually score particularly well, allegedly because of abnormal memory test results. As you can see, the vast majority of multi-core scores in the 9500 to 10000 points, it seems that this period of time Qualcomm has carried out a series of optimization.
At present, the multi-core score of Snapdragon 8150 has completely exceeded the score of Kirin 980. The unicorn 980 chip's single core score is about 3300, while the multi-core score is about 9500. Coupled with Qualcomm's powerful adreno department self-developed GPU, Kirin 980, I'm afraid it's still in a relatively weak position.
Why Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 score and Kirin 980 do not differ? The reason is that in the part of CPU, whether it is Snapdraon 8150 or Kirin 980, it has a certain origin with the core architecture of arm cortex-a76, so the achievement in the CPU part is roughly the same. Moreover, from the current situation, it is also possible to adopt a 224 three-cluster architecture and customize the A76 + A76 + A55 scheme.
