UMI has launched 2 different models of this terminal. On the one hand, we have the UMIDIGI A3 Pro (3GB+32GB) and a lighter version with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal space.
UMIDIGI A3 Pro in analysis, an affordable terminal with notch that looks really good
Just a couple of years ago it would be unthinkable to see one of these terminals mounting 3GB of RAM. Until now, the most common thing was to equip 1GB or if anything 2, which allows us to be talking about a fully functional terminal without leaving the orbit of 100 euros. A small advance that is an achievement for the humblest range of Android.
The UMIDIGI A3 Pro mounts a 5.7 inch panel with an HD+ resolution of 1512 x 720p and a pixel density of 293ppi. An almost frameless panel that occupies virtually the entire front thanks to the inclusion of the always controversial notch.
In terms of design, this is a curved-edged terminal, with a double camera vertically on the back, fingerprint detector and a metallic housing that is available in both gold and black.
The A3 Pro has dimensions of 147.20 x 7.02 x 0.85cm and a weight of 187 grams. In general it is an elegant telephone, we would say that until showy thanks to the notch and its great screen. Definitely it is not a light phone, but it does not get to be heavy either, staying in a quite adequate average term considering its dimensions and the range in which we move.
In the guts of this UMIDIGI we discovered really balanced guts. At the head a SoC MTK6739 Quad Core running at 1.5GHz -processor series 4G Basic Mediatek-, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable by card up to 256GB. The operating system is Android 8.1 Oreo. This same model also has a lighter version of 3GB + 16GB and 2GB + 16GB.
For performance purposes we can expect the usual in this type of devices. A good performance with most Android apps, but that will suffer as it can not be otherwise if we try to play games with too much graphic load for long periods of time.
We do not have a concrete figure of its benchmarking performance in Antutu, but taking into account the UMIDIGI A3 of 2GB RAM obtained 33,000 points, we can assume that it will walk in a very similar range.
Focusing on the artistic section of the A3 Pro, we see that it fits a more than decent double rear lens of 12MP+5MP with f/2.0 aperture and a pixel size of 1.25µm. One of the components that the manufacturer has pampered the most, after the design and the screen. The front camera presents an 8MP resolution with facial recognition -Face ID-.
We end up talking about the battery: a 3.300mAh battery with micro USB charge that offers a more than favorable autonomy thanks to the low consumption of the processor (mounting a moderate performance chip also has its good things).
As for the rest of features, indicate that it also has Bluetooth 4.0, slot for dual nano SIM + an additional slot for SD, FM radio and 3.5mm mini jack port for headphones. It also has excellent connectivity: in Spain it is compatible with all 2G, 3G and 4G bands on the market.
UMIDIGI A3 Pro (3GB RAM+32GB ROM) is available now on Gearbest for $89.99. And it’s also one of the hottest selling smartphones at present.
