A war that is being waged in the framework of the commercial battle that Trump has been waging with China for months and that, in the case of what happened with Huawei (and months before with ZTE), makes users of other Chinese brands think if they too will be affected.
So far, and as explained from Andro4All, there is no reason to worry, since only ZTE and Huawei have been or are part of the so-called 'Entity List', a document that includes people, companies or entities suspected of suspicious practices such as espionage, Huawei case, although there are many voices that claim that there is no suspicion of espionage behind the veto Huawei.
Being on this list has caused brands such as Huawei or ZTE to need specific licences from the Trump Government to enter the United States, licences that are normally denied and end up causing the affected companies to paralyse their production and sales under threat of sanctions if they continue to act as before being on this Entity List.
However, unlike other Chinese manufacturers, in the case of Huawei the United States would have seen a real threat of losing control of telecommunications. In the race to dominate the deployment of the 5G, Huawei could establish itself in a dominant position.
OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo are not involved in the deployment of the 5G or in operations that the United States considers "suspicious", so there is currently no reason to fear that they will suffer (in the short and medium term) the same fate as Huawei.
