At the opening ceremony of the festival, drifting champion Vaughn Gittin jr. remotely drove the car through the Samsung Gear VR virtual reality headset and drove it along the Goodwood Hillclimb track. The headset has a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G smartphone connected to Vodafone's superfast 5G network. The Lincoln MKZ was equipped with a Designated Driver remote control system.

The Lincoln MKZ, equipped with a Designated Driver remote control system, was piloted by Vaughn Gittin Jr. using a Samsung Gear VR headset and a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G smartphone that were connected to Vodafone's ultra-fast 5G network.
