I went to some length to find its packaging box so that I could pretend that I just received this phone. The box is colorful and not quite the same as the box of a Xiaomi phone I once bought.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has an LCD screen and the back is made of a kind of glass material. The one I bought is black and the back looks like a mirror. Should you ever find yourself in need of a mirror and there isn't one available, Xiaomi Mi 8 can serve you just fine. It comes equipped with a Type-C charging port and no headphone jack. (There is a headphone conversion cable.) This means you can only choose one between charging the phone and using the headphones. For some people who are used to a 3.5mm headphone jack, it is not very convenient. However, this shouldn't be too big a problem if you have a Bluetooth headset.
I did mention that I bought the mobile phone for playing games. This mobile phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 660 which I think is adequate for said purpose. The game runs smoothly and there is no dropped frame, the operating temperature is also acceptable. Just like that my needs for playing games is met, the experience has improved quite a lot, too. That is the reason why I deem Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite rather excellent up till now.
The experience that Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite brings me is much more than just the games.
I have to say, the front camera of the phone is really amazing. My friends and I love this camera that has a resolution of 24-megapixel and AI-beauty function. In addition to playing games together, my time spent with my friends also involves a heavy load of selfie-taking. I took so many selfies using this phone that I recently got the nickname "Selfie-nonstop" from my friends. And the horizontal rear dual camera is a combination of a resolution of 12-megapixel and that of 5-megapixel. Plus, there's also a beautification function when shooting videos and various shooting modes to choose from. The portrait mode among which allows one to adjust the depth of field as well as bokeh. These go well beyond my expectations and have made me fall in love with photographing. Now no matter where I go, I like to take a few pictures.
However, when I charge the phone while playing games, the charging is not particularly fast and the gaming experience is not particularly good. If I don't use the phone to play games then one single charge is enough for a whole day's use. But I will forgive this small imperfection for the fact that the games run smoothly and that the phone doesn't get heated up. The performance is not bad and that is also reflected on the smoothness during my usual switching between different APPs. In general, Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite runs with no stagnation.
To sum things up, the fact that with the phone there's no longer any dropped frame or overheating when playing games is estimated before I even got the phone. I did learn about the shooting function of Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite when I purchased it, but still, the real thing amazed me. This phone is very suitable for people who like to play games and take photos. And if you have the same complaints as I did regarding my previous phone, I highly recommend Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite to you. It is worth every penny and more.
