Actually, Xiaomi has presented three different models, with 32, 43 and 55 inches, but we have focused on testing the most vitamin-rich model. And, as you will see in this test of the new Xiaomi smart TV, it is a very complete device.
Aesthetically speaking, we find ourselves with a fairly complete intelligent television. For starters, the 55-inch Xiaomi Mi TV 4S has a very minimalist look, with minimal front frames, and brushed aluminium finishes to give this TV a very premium look.
To say that the legs of Smart TV are fixed, so we cannot adapt them to our taste. However, they can be easily removed so that the TV can be hung on the wall. We must take into account that the back of the TV has a polycarbonate finish. But it is the least visible part, so it is not a detail to be taken into account.
Turning to the connectivity of Xiaomi TV, say that it has 3 HDMI outputs (one of the ARC), plus 3 USB ports, Ethernet connection, headphone output, AV input, audio output by fiber and antenna socket. Obviously, it is a cheap 4K Smart TV, so we can not ask too many connectivity options, but will meet the needs of any user.
At the hardware level, this TV comes with an Amlogic 4-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage along with WiFi and Bluetooth. More than enough features to be able to move Android TV without any problem. Yes, it's slower than other models, but considering its price we can't ask for more.
Yes, one of the great strengths is that it comes with Android TV, plus an integrated Chromecast. This way, we can download all kinds of games or applications (remember that we can install apps directly on an external hard drive). And the Google dongle, which allows us to duplicate the screen of our phone quickly and easily, is a point in its favor.
The icing on the cake is the remote control. A model that has a built-in microphone, which will allow us to quickly and easily run Google Assistant.
On a multimedia level, the Xiaomi Smart TV offers 4K quality. We're talking about a 55-inch panel signed by LG. And, in this case, it's an IPS model that offers excellent performance. To say that it has HDR support so the image quality is more than enough for any average user.
Is this cheap Smart TV worth buying? It's definitely a bargain.
Bear in mind that this is a very cheap model, so you can't expect the same image quality as an OLED panel that costs around 1,500 euros, but this TV will more than meet the expectations of those who are looking for a cheap Smart TV for the living room. And watch out, its 178-degree viewing angle is another of its great strengths.
However, its 330 nits brightness is a bit limited, so the idea is to use it without too much light. In short, a model that doesn't disappoint and, considering that it doesn't exceed 450 euros, is an excellent option to consider. Are you thinking of buying the 55-inch Xiaomi Mi TV 4S? It's a sure thing.
