We collect some latest and reliable news about the main specs of Xiaomi Pocophone F2.
One of the main highlights of the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is the phones speedy Snapdragon 845 processor. Will the new Xiaomi Pocophone F2 model also sport a high-end processor? Most probably, yes. Initially, it was rumored that the Poco F2 will come with the Snapdragon 855. However, it has since been specified that the new phone will probably sport the Snapdragon 8150 instead. The chip scored an impressive 362,292 points on AnTuTu overtaking the Apple’s A12 Bionic. Taking into account that this is a budget smartphone, it's needless to say that a high-end processor remains the key selling point of the Poco F2.
It's still uncertain what configurations the new Pocophone F2 will come with. There probably will be the versions with of 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB. There might also be the economical option of 4GB with 64GB of internal storage.
A lot of rumors surround the upcoming Pocophone F2’s cameras. Based on the concept video of the phone, a number of users got the impression that the phone may come with a triple camera setup. However, according to the majority of experts, this is highly unlikely. The Pocophone F2 is primarily a budget smartphone and will, most probably, not feature any additional high-end elements apart from the processor. We, thus, expect the phone to come with a decent but not the best cameras on the market. It is speculated that the Poco F2 will come with a 16MP front camera housed in the teardrop notch (that is also predicted as part of the improved design). There may be a 16MP + 5MP rear camera - but there is not much information available on the rear cam at this point.
The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 sported a rather large 4000mAh battery and we are expecting an improvement in this as well, but there is a debate whether this will be a significant improvement to 5000mAh or a smaller one to 4300mAh.
The Pocophone F1 came with a 6.18 inch display with 2246 x 1080 FHD resolution and sported an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. As for the Xiaomi Pocophone F2, the rumors have it that it will sport a slightly bigger screen (6.3 inches or 6.4 inches). The phone will probably come with a better aspect ratio (possibly 19.5:9). As mentioned above, it is highly probable that the new Poco F2 will sport a smaller notch than on the Pocophone F1 - the growing in popularity teardrop notch.
Together with the Xiaomi Pocophone F2, the company has speculated about the release of the Pocophone F2 Plus, an upgrade on the basic budget Poco F2. Little is known about what specific upgrades this version will include. Possibly, there will be a bigger screen, definitely more RAM and internal storage, improvements in cameras and, perhaps, changes in design.
We may not know much about the upcoming new Xiaomi Pocophone F2 and F2 Plus - a lot of the specs and features are veiled in uncertainty and speculation. However, we do know that both phones will remain in the budget category and sport powerful processors for the price. There will be important upgrades, that's for certain as well - we can expect better cameras, a more organic design and larger displays.
