The rumors about the Xiaomi Pocophone F2 arise from the Pocophone F1's promotion poster shared by Manu Kumar Jain (Xiaomi's India CEO) on Twitter. The poster hints that the Xiaomi Pocophone F2 will be expected to be released within 6-8 months. Although, Xiaomi company hasn't officially revealed anything about the new Poco F2, but some authoritative leakers can't wait to publish their predictions one after another.

According to the rumors leaked by SmartPhone 360, the Pocophone F2 will come with a 6.3-inch super AMOLED capacitive screen. The aspect ratio can be up to 19.5:9. In terms of notch, some people say the Poco F2 will adopt waterdrop notch design, while others guess that it will inherit the original notch design on Poco F1. Personally speaking, with the increasing development of under screen camera technology, it is also possible for the Poco F2 to remove the troublesome notch.
The performance is undoubtedly the main focus of the Pocophone. Compared with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 on the Poco F1, the Poco F2 might be powered by the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 630 GPU. So the processor will be still the flagship level processor.
The memory of the Poco F2 will be also upgraded, with 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB ROM, and up to 512GB expandable memory support, you will not need to worry about the storage issue at all.
Besides, the upcoming Poco F2 will run the Android 9 Pie, the latest OS version released on August this year.
In order to further improve the battery perfomance, the Xiaomi Pocophone F2 might be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, which is 1000mAh larger than the Poco F1. And it also supports quick charge.
The camera performance is considered to be one of the major specs for users. The rumors reveal that the Pocophone F2 will be equipped with triple rear cameras. If that's true, it will be a great upgrade compared with the dual rear 12MP + 5MP cameras on the Pocophone F1.
Another anticipated feature is that the Poco F2 will adopt in-display fingerprint unlock. As we know, the in-display fingerprint unlock is just used on some high-end flagship smartphones, such as Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro and Vivo NEX at present. So if the Pocophone F2 really adopts such advanced unlock technology, it is a real sense of flagship killer.
Just as the name, the Xiaomi Pocophone F2 Plus will be a more advanced version. The mainly advanced features may appear in cameras, notch design and unlock technology.
As a brand mainly focusing on high cost performance, the Xiaomi Pocophone F2 and F2 Plus, although might have great improvement in performance compared with Pocophone F1, is expected to not have a steep rise in price. In fact, that's not so easy, but producing budget flagship smartphone is always what Xiaomi especially POCO has highlighted.
If you don't want to wait for so long time to buy the Pocophone F2, the hot selling Pocophone F1 is also a good choice, especially with a big discount during the 11.11 Sale, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 (6+128 GB) can be yours for just $349.99, and the 6+64GB version is only priced at $279.99.
What other new features do you expect from the upcoming Xiaomi Pocophone F2 and F2 Plus? Let's stay tuned for more good news about it.
