The success of the "flagship for all" Xiaomi Pocophone F1 was unexpected, even for avid fans of the omnipresent Chinese company. For three months, more than 700 thousand copies of the smartphone have been sold worldwide and this is not the limit. The secret of success is simple - to give the consumer the most productive iron for a very "tasty" price tag. Of course, real flagships have advanced cameras, premium materials and OLED screens. But is it worth two, or even a triple overpayment? Whatever it was, the experiment was recognized by the manufacturer as successful and Xiaomi is actively preparing for the presentation of Xiaomi Pocophone F2, which can spoil sales of other new products of 2019 on the powerful Snapdragon 855 processor.
Chinese sources Igeekphone call two dates for the possible presentation of the second Pocophone. According to one version, it will be released in the first quarter of 2019, according to another - towards the end of the summer of next year. The second date seems more realistic for two reasons. First, Xiaomi Pocophone F2 can undermine sales of the main flagship Mi9, which should appear just in winter and spring of 2019. And secondly, in the first half of the year, Qualcomm will clearly not dump the cost of its main chipset in 2019, when it will be at the peak of demand from manufacturers of smartphones.
As in the first generation, the new Pocophone has to get several versions, which will differ both in characteristics and price tags. Talk about the cost of Xiaomi Pocophone F2 is too early, but they are unlikely to be very different from the prices for F1. So, the initial version can now be bought for 23 thousand rubles, and a smartphone with a 128 GB drive in the official Russian retail will cost 25 thousand rubles.
The first Xiaomi Pocophone F2 renders, which were shown in December 2018, slightly lift the veil of secrecy over the design of the future "flagship for all". So, he will get a screen with a hole under the front camera. This will be a kind of "work on the error", because many did not like the first Poko with its massive bang, which selected the usable display area. Detailed display specifications are unknown, but a fingerprint scanner will be built into it.
Attention deserves the design of the case - the cover will be beaten in the style of racing cars. what is emphasized by the vertical stripe of black color. Such a design move will draw attention to the power of the Pocophone F2. Speaking of power, the 2019 Snapdragon 855 top processor will be responsible for it. This is an eight-core processor, which consists of three clusters of Kryo 485 cores. The older one includes one core with a frequency of 2.84 GHz, the middle one - three cores with a frequency of 2.42 GHz , and the rest - four energy efficient cores with a frequency of 1.8 GHz. Adreno 640 video accelerator will allow you to play the most demanding mobile games at maximum settings.
Interestingly, Snapdragon 855 by default declares support for 5G networks. Perhaps, Xiaomi will “cut off” this opportunity in Pocophone F2 in order to keep the price of the smartphone and not distract the audience from its other flagships.
The new Pocophone will definitely not be deprived of memory, insiders are talking about versions with 6/8 GB of RAM and 64/128/256 GB of flash memory.
About photographic abilities of the future news is unknown, but judging by the render, the smartphone will have a main camera of four sensors. The battery promise a capacity of 3880 mAh.
