Let's do a review of the last three generations of phones Redmi Note from the Chinese manufacturer, from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 that had several surnames in its world premiere to the last Redmi Note 7. A phone that debuts the 48 megapixel cameras in your catalog and that part for the moment with the advantage of an impossible price that can make you reap not a few sales. Let's look at the evolution of the range.
It can be said, seeing the evolution of the first to the last of the phones analyzed today, that the factor external form of the Redmi Note has not changed too much in the last generations. Despite the difference in diagonals, the change resides in the introduction of the notch in the Redmi Note 6 Pro, and in the reduction of the same in the new Redmi Note 7. All this to gain space to a front that already has very small frames.
Thus, the Redmi Note 5 came with 5.99 inch 18:9, the largest model, in absolute terms, from the range. A FullHD + screen that had 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. The Redmi Note 6 Pro not only reduced the diagonal to 5.84 inches but also added the notch, being able to stretch up to 19:9 and up to 2,280 x 1,080 pixels. The last one to arrive, the Redmi Note 7, goes up to 6.2 inches now with 19.5:9. Back to the source, but now with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels.
The line has never left the LCD screens and so it seems that it will be for at least another generation. It is to be supposed that in the Redmi Note 8 we will see some perforated screen and perhaps the jump to the OLED. Meanwhile, Crystal 2.5 D to cover the front of the three phones and an aspect that today is already quite recognizable. Over time, Xiaomi has been able to print its stamp on its designs, although the differences with the competition are minimal.
In this evolution of power it should be noted that there has been a strange, bizarre, but perhaps understandable jump in performance. We have the Note 5, which partíó with the Snapdragon 636, and that was followed by the Redmi Note 6 Pro that chip repeated. In the closing, the new Redmi Note 7 that has mounted the Snapdragon 660, increasing considerably the power.
But the jump is not there because while the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 6 Pro bet on identical memories, in the Redmi Note 7 we have a more than interesting step forward. We no longer count only with 3/32GB and 4/64GB between the options of purchase, but it introduces a superior model, one with 6/64GB and that puts the Redmi Note 7 in Frank Advantage when making a purchase. We will see the prices, yes, because they still do not have the international ones, much less the Europeans.
As for battery, the step forward has been in terms of fast loading. The Redmi Note line has already several generations placing internal batteries of 4,000 mAh, but now we leave behind the load of 10W to get into the load of 18W. 9 Volts and 2 amps for the new Redmi Note 7, which will return the power to your battery faster than your siblings from previous generations. And now, are we talking about the cameras?
Surely we are in front of the quantitative jump, we will see if qualitative, larger than have given the Redmi Note in the last generations. The new Redmi Note 7, now flying solo but with last name, has opted for a rear camera of 48 megapixels, no more or less. The camera that we have already seen in other phones like the Huawei Nova 4 or the Honor V20, and that has as a companion a 5 megapixel sensor whose only function is to take readings of depth.
If we look at the previous generations we find a dual 12 and 5 megapixel rear camera in the Redmi Note 5 and with a dual camera of 12 and 5 megapixels in the Redmi Note 6 Pro. A remarkable evolution, this one we see in photographic matter. In addition, we have artificial intelligence to lend a hand in filters, scene interpretation and Blur. It will be necessary to see the new Redmi Note 7 in action, but it already promises on the paper.
In the selfies we return to see this strange jump that before commented. If the Redmi Note 5 offered 13 megapixels alone, and the Redmi Note 6 Pro doubled the sensors and lenses to have 20 and 5 megapixels, now the Redmi Note 7 returns to the single sensor. IA will have had much to do with the new phone offering only 13 megapixels hosted on the notch that cuts the screen. A single lens but also with Blur.

As expected, each new generation becomes a little more powerful than the previous one, but in Note 7 we see an even more noticeable evolution. The qualitative jump in processor and memories is to be noticed without excuses, and the camera of 48 megapixels promises enough on the paper. We will see at what price Pisa Europe but, from now, it is much more advisable to wait for this Redmi Note 7 to go into models of previous generations. A very clear jump is seldom seen.
