The teaser, which was published on the official Twitter page, shows a phone with a similar design as the current Mi 9. The cameras are located on the left side of the phone, not in the middle, like the Redmi K20. However, the display of the front camera has no notch.
The headline reads: "K, I or T ... Which letter would you choose for the newest member of our Mi9 family? Why? Among the suggested letters is the letter "T", and we already know that the Mi 9T phone has been certified in a number of countries. It is safe to conclude that the device in the teaser is actually Mi 9T.
Editor's tip: The new MediaTek SoC will lead 5G to cheaper flagships.
Hashtag #PopUpInStyle also indicates that the phone has a pop-up selfie camera, as in the Redmi K20 series. However, we strongly believe that the module can slip out of the center of the device, not from the side, as in the Redmi K20 series.
Considering that the Mi 9T is practically the Mi 9 with the new display and the pop-up selfie camera, its features will be very similar if they are not identical to the features of the Mi 9. Expect less battery capacity than the Redmi K20, wireless charging and the missing audio jack.
